all the Switch is is just a money vacuum right now...

It doesn't seem worth it to get on day one or maybe even this year. It's seems like a combo of the Wii U's and PS3's launch, no games and to expensive. It doesn't matter what the other companies' consoles cost at their launch, the here and now is the thing costs $299 with pretty much no launch titles vs. PS4 and Xbox that has a well established library for the same cost or less depending on which one you get. I'm not willing to pay over $300 for a Zelda machine, I could just get it for the Wii U but cheaper. The controllers are really expensive, $79 and for the separate (L) or ( R ) Joy-cons $49.

Now your paying for Online which I hate, it was the one thing I loved Nintendo for and it was the edge they had over everybody else. Plus, the games that they are giving away are only going to be old ones that we have seen and played before and nothing new. Also, the way they are wording it makes it seem like you could either loose them after a month or you could keep them. Plus, the battery life is kind of vague too.

I'm not saying it's a bad console, but the way that they are handling it is weird, they are expecting people to shuck out money like hard candy on launch but since the wii u, I don't think that's going to happen given what we've been shown (maybe if they had shown Overwatch or Smash or something hard hitting coming out in march). I'll probably get one when the price goes down, but I still won't be happy about the Subscription fee for online.

Definitely not worth getting at launch. There are only about 5 games I'm interested in.

PC would have easier connections to servers than a console would. Besides, a company like Valve doesn't need to charge for their online services, they make enough money off of Steam anyway. They know that a lot of people will stop using the service if they start charging. Plus, there are games you gotta pay for online anyway like The Elder Scrolls online.

The same could be said about console, the only difference is that there are no more choices (other than PC, but not everyone can afford or can make a gaming PC), their all doing it now. but now that everyone is doing it, someones head is going to be on the chopping block.

Something that should be noted is that not every launch title has been revealed. In fact I've heard from someone that a couple weeks from now we'll be getting a viewing of these titles. Also there is a direct on Fire Emblem Warriors on Wednesday that may give us a release date. I personally believe there is much to look into with the Switch.

It's also been said that there's much more to reveal in the coming weeks. Either way, it's not like the PS4/Xbox One had a great launch line-up. Switch has Zelda for those who missed the Wii U or who want that version despite owning a Wii U (Such as me, Special Edition pushed me to the Switch version) and possibly more to still be seen, with a couple other games already shown too.

Then they should have shown those games when everybody was watching during the presentation, they had a full hour so that was plenty of time. The system is coming out in March and they have done a poor job at trying to sell us this thing before it's release. Even though Ps4 and Xbox one didn't have the best release, they still had a good amount of games, good or bad, on launch and showed us them during their events.

Poor job would imply they haven't sold out on preorders and aren't in high demand. Obviously Nintendo hit a gold mine somewhere because people really want the Switch.

I feel like people on the internet are just focusing solely on the negative aspects of the system and ignoring all of the great things the Switch has to offer. Negativity gets more attention, I suppose. I'm excited, and everyone else in my gaming group is as well. It's not perfect (I'm still kind of upset about how expensive additional controllers are), but I've got mine pre-ordered along with the Breath of the Wild Special Edition and can't wait until March 3. The 2017 lineup is fantastic, and I can't wait to see what comes in its future.

This was every PS4 day one launch title, wow so much quality. I'd pick Zelda BOTW over any of these awful games (Injustice and B4 aren't too bad tho). Who doesn't want to play Angry Birds Star Wars or PlayRoom or Just Dance 2014!

Still debating whether to buy it day one or not, I might wait until June or July, but getting in the first half of 2017 is a definite YES. Was going to buy a Wii U towards the second half of 2016 but I decided to wait for the new console. The main thing I like is that they SHOWED GAMES. How long did I have to wait for Sony to show me some decent PS4 games?

Nintendo has already said that the following games are coming

Xenoblade 2

Zelda BOTW ofc

Dragon Quest 11

The new SMT game

Smash Bros is 99% happening

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

ARMS

Splatoon 2

And they all look like so much fun to play. Defo buying a Switch, just not sure whether to wait a little while after launch. The price is cheaper than a PS4 in my country

I've heard there are people who weren't fans of Zelda, but BotW has impressed them and they preordered the switch and the game.

There are also PC gamers who want the switch for portable skyrim.

Did I mention March 3rd was my birthday? I'm one happy camper myself. Especially since I'm getting that long awaited Zelda title with my switch.
