There is some black box, that the Master of Masters told one of his apprentices Luxu to never open the box. He told Luxu of what was in the box. A certain someone will look for this box. We will know the contents in the box in Kingdom Hearts 3 as well as who's looking for the box. Luxu was given a role to pass down the Keyblade that contains The Master of Master's "Gazing Eye" (The Keyblade that Master Xehanort has), to his apprentice and his apprentice will do likewise on down the line, so that The Master of Master will see into the future. The Book of Prophecies is proof to Luxu's success of him training a "worthy apprentice". Luxu was also given the role to watch (as well as the "Gazing Eye" of the Master of Masters) as some stuff will go down, regarding the Foretellers, which will lead to the End of the World/Keyblade War. After seeing the Worlds End, he'll leave and start his other role, of passing down the Keyblade.  The Lost Page of the Book of Prophecies (Not the Foretelers copy) contains information of an inevitable betrayal. "The one who bears the sigil."

I might be missing some stuff.

Well the game isn't done yet so there might be more in season 2.
