I don't think the mainline Final Fantasy series work as an Action RPG

Look that makes sense that a enemy does a dodge animation but in most turned based games I played they just stand there and they get hit and it says missed I mean seriously how can I freaking miss I stabbed the dude and he didn't move that is my complained it makes more sense to me if they move around the battlefield

A strategy role playing game doesn't work on the same logic as an action game

You can't expect everything to replicate real life logic

The reason evasion stats like this exist is to give you the chance to dodge otherwise either you win all battles with ease or your enemies will stomp you nonstop

Again, your opinion dude but don't paint it as "the opinion of the people" as if everyone agrees with you

Mine was a subjective opinion too and I don't expect people to agree yet you here word your thoughts as if it's everyone's thoughts with statements like "That's what people think"....what does that exactly mean?

I don't want to wait in a fight to get hit I want to move seriously how can my attacks miss when they stand right infront of me? do you know how many times I died because of this?

I never had problems with party members in action games... Except donald -_-

I want to see Final Fantasy going in this direction for a while and I think this appeals more to people

I don't see why FF needs to 'appeal to more people' when FF13 sold plenty of copies. FF was popular before FF15, FF will be popular after FF15. In my honest opinion, Square Enix shouldn't be appealing to people who only bought their games when they saw they'd be an ARPG, you didn't stick by them before so why should they appeal to you? Square Enix do not need 'new' FF fans, they had plenty to begin with.

Another thing

The way you and some others here describe is like......you want to clone everything into Kingdom Hearts

You want every franchise to be just like Kingdom Hearts and that's the only way it'll be appealing

Sure it's fine to have preferences But if you want everything to be KH why not just..........stick to KH since it does it best

Not everyone finds what KH does always appealing and not every Square franchise needs to be a Kingdom Hearts clone gameplay wise otherwise we'll be playing the exact same series just with a code of paint from another series

I personally don't want neither Tabata nor Nomura(ESPECIALLY Nomura) to direct Final Fantasy games again.I want Ito to be given another chance cuz the last game he directed was XII and from the games he worked on he did a phenomenal job yet Square Enix squanders his potential

I'm sorry but that's how it sounds from some replies I saw here

again I don't mind different preferences but it feels like that's the only way they'd play another RPG.Unless it plays like Kingdom Hearts they won't teach it even with a ten foot tall stick

It's like saying every shooter should play like Halo and every fighting game should play like Street Fighter

And when people like this have a lot of influence on Square Enix's direction  we end up suffering and the quality of the games suffer too when they don't know how to handle it

There are lots of Action RPGs out there like the Tales Of series,The Witcher series and Dark Souls so there is already a multitude of options

Apolgies excepted:)

What I don't get with Square is that with Kingdom Hearts 2 they got the Action RPG formula right to a tea

Yet they have a myriads of problems trying to apply that to Final Fantasy because the series was never built around depending on one character to win battles

You need your party in both XIII and XV no matter how much the game tells you that you're fine controlling one guy.

I'm not saying that they shouldn't try an action RPG FF again,I just hope games like the VII remake would have an AI that I can depend on rather than being a burden.

Personally I think FF XVI should go back to the ATB system for one more time before doing action again with FF XVII

Well, as you said, the Final Fantasy series was never constructed to be an ARPG series unlike Kingdom Hearts, which has been an ARPG since its inception, ya know? With Final Fantasy, it seems Square is trying to mold that series into a state in which it can satisfy modern and nostalgic fans of the series, ya know? But hey, if they really wanna make good ARPG action happen, they should take a look at Nomura's work with the Kingdom Hearts series and take inspiration from that, ya know?

And well, the thing that would be neat is that each mainline FF entry that comes from now on would alternate between original RPG style and ARPG style! Like you said, XVI could be turn based, whilst XVII could be action RPG, while XVIII could be turn based, etc!
