Hey there everyone, how's it going!? So then, I'm going to be doing a little theory here, and it's been a heck of a while since I've posted a theory, so I may be a bit rusty, so please bear with me!
So then, recently, we got the tracks that were played in the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra World Tour Concert uploaded onto Youtube by Everglow, and well, naturally, I decided to listen to these phenomenally beautiful tracks! Upon getting to Heroes And Heroines, something particularly interesting caught my ear, and it was precisely at the end of this arrangement! Vanitas's theme was playing, in an arrangement called Heroes and Heroines!
HEROES...AND HEROINES! Vanitas ain't no hero!
Now, obviously, I'm not the only one who's gotten suspicious of this, since I've seen many members here and many Youtube comments discussing about this! Many regard that since the theme is a parallel to Sora's, that it makes sense having it there, while others say that since Vanitas is a part of Ven's heart, it makes sense for the theme to be there. But I think that this may be something else!
It's not entirely out of the realm of possibility that Vanitas could end up becoming an anti-hero, and somehow help the side of the light in the conflict of the Seven and Thirteen! Though how this would go about, I have no clue, since I have always assumed Vanitas would likely be a Seeker Of Darkness! But when thinking about it, maybe there will come a time when Ventus has to confront Vanitas again, but this time, I can see Ventus trying to reason with him! I could see him trying to come at peace with Vanitas being the darkness in his heart, like how Riku came to peace with his own darkness, ya know? Maybe there could be a battle in which Vanitas tests the strength of Ven's heart, and when Ven wins, Vanitas caves in, and he decides to accept Ventus as his equal, and he joins the heroes...or doesn't! I can see him being a lone wolf kind of anti-hero. Honestly, I've just loved the idea of him being an anti-hero, since he's just way too badass, and he kind of gives off a Vegeta vibe, ya know?
Now, I'm sure Vanitas wouldn't make it easy to try to knock sense into him, but if he could become a hero, that would be awesome! Of course, he'd still be cocky and have his same personality, but he'd side with the Guardians Of Light as an independent fighter, like Donald and Goofy! But what do you all think?
