October 2, 20178 yr probably gonna go with Xemnas as the favorite Xehanort incarnation. his voice really makes the character for me and a lot of his dialogue in KH2 was enjoyable just thanks to the voice. Plus the final fights with him are always going to be some of my favorite end game sequences in the series, along with the accompanying music. my least favorite is probably going to be Young Xehanort as he suddenly got shoved to the forefront of the villains roster in DDD and was propped up like a major threat despite being pretty bland imo. at least old man Xehanort has a unique sounding voice and really seems to enjoy what he's doing. He's entertaining to watch. Young Xehanort just always sounds bored.
October 2, 20178 yr Least favorite is probably Ansem SOD. He was great as the first game's villain, but it's his duality with Riku that really made him unique. Now he's just just another black coat and it doesn't feel like his involvement raises the stakes in any way. Favorite is probably MX. Nimoy's voice is definitely part of it, but there's this great design work in creating what is essentially just a scared old man trying to live a little bit longer.
October 2, 20178 yr My favorite would have to be the Master himself. Not just because of Nimoy (R.I.P.) voicing him, but because he can plan so far in advance, which is actually sort of a scary thought. My LEAST favorite would be "Ansem". Not just because of his boss fights, but because he won't freaking shut up about darkness. I wonder how many times he'll say it in KH3.
October 3, 20178 yr My fave is a tie between Ansem SOD (the original by Billy Zane) and Master Xehanort. The original Ansem for the mystery, tone and menace that he built up in the original and almost had this nihilistic philosophy of how everything comes back to darkness that comes off very chilling at times when confronting him as the final boss. And MX for just how tactful he is and the kind of villain you really want to hate, topped off with Leonard Nimoy's great voice acting makes him, imo, a great villain. My least is bar none, Xemnas. Ever since KH2, I could NEVER take him seriously as a villain. Whether its his english performance by Paul St. Peter or whoever voiced him in the japanese version (sorry that I can't remember his name) but just constantly puts on a WOE IS ME performance, even after he's been called out on it in KH2 he just keeps ACTING THAT WAY! His hammy moments doesn't help either, that and despite being the main villain in KH2, not only was I not intimidated by him, but I swear it felt like he never did anything. If there was anything I wanted to beat him for was not to save the worlds, but just to get him to SHUT UP!
