Okay, so I don't have the money to buy photoshop, so I was wondering if anyone else had any ideas on any good free programs to use to try and make decent sigs. Not amazingly good, mind you (like almost all of the ones on here), but something a little better than MS Paint.

Easy, free, virus-clean download. Has all the benefits of Photoshop. But know that you wont go busting in thar kicking ass with images. It has a steep learning curve.

Like Monster Hunter-steep? Because I'd much prefer not to run into a wall DX

paint.net is almost like photoshop, difference being it's free

It wasn't that hard for me. You just need to get a hang of the tools and read tutorials from time to time. Its pretty similar to photoshop.

Simple's not always bad, but the text, the color for it, and the picture together bothers me. Maybe if you tried to blend a little better, and found a background that went better with the picture, or vice versa.

Okay, rather than using a brush for the background, I just copy/pasted one, and worked from there, how's this one?

 

 

 

Paint tool Sai is free or at least was when I got it. Imo its hella better than gimp and photo shop in a lot areas like painting and line art.
