So, is Ven's heart in Sora, or apart from Sora but still inside him with Roxas... or, what?

Oh, Roxas is definitely back with Sora now. It's just some common confusion regarding the whole "mend their hurting" thing. Mending hurts =/= physical return.

Data Roxas explains in coded the pain of forgetting something important. What does this remind you of? That's right; Xion. He's suffering because he doesn't remember Xion. If you bring back the memories of her existence, then he'll be fine.

Like with the rest of Roxas, it's now within Sora. Roxas is Sora's body and soul, as well as Ven's heart. A representation of himself still exists (judging by how he was able to split apart from Sora at the end of KH2, even just in a spiritual form), but he's returned what didn't belong to him. If he didn't have Ven's heart, he wouldn't be able to dual-wield.

Not that they know for sure where Ven's heart is, but he thinks they might have figured it out. Well, Data Namine did tell them about it after all. Vaguely, but she did it nevertheless.

 

Ven's heart was once within Sora, then it went to Roxas, and then Roxas went back into Sora but we don't know if the heart released back into Sora or it still rests in Roxas

as far as i know its with sora cause thats where recconect comes in cause (stop reading here if you dont want a spoiler) in the secret ending of bbs sora says he has to bring them back so i assume he meant giving vens heart back and finding terra and aqua

Vens heart is in Sora and Roxas. It doesn't matter, because Roxas is inside Sora.

Really? I just figured she was using Sora's Keyblade all the time and that Roxas was actually using Ven's.

From what I understood, Xion siphoned memories from Roxas, and with that, came Ventus' Key, because if I remember correctly, She couldn't use a key until after awhile with Roxas, and then stopped being able to again after being away from him for a little while. Then, when he defeated her, he got Ventus' key back. Hence dual-wield. Correct me if I am wrong. Just a theory.

Well actually, in the secret reports in KH 358/2 Days (They can be unlocked by collecting at least one challenge sigil for each challenge mission, and can be read by going to the Files option in the menu, going to Roxas's Diary, and holding the A button on specific journal entries) it said that she lost the ability to wield the Keyblade suddenly after Roxas awoke, which must mean that it has something to do with the events at Castle Oblivion. Roxas went to sleep when Namine started stripping Sora of his Memories, and woke up when Sora went to sleep, so Sora going to sleep must have had some sort of effect on whether or not Xion could wield the Keyblade.

 

Then, when he defeated her, he got Ventus' key back. Hence dual-wield.

You are somewhat correct while saying that, but this is what I understand, from the knowledge of Reversal and other 'pwnage' members who have a great grasp of what the heck is happening in the KH series.

 

Upon Xion being defeated, she originally would have returned to Sora (She held some of Sora's memories, so, it is obvious that they should return to him.) but instead, apparently because Roxas was right there, they entered him instead, and awakened the ability to wield Ventus's Keyblade, not Xion's, because like Reversal just said, her Keyblade was fake, nothing more, yet it kinda makes you wonder why she could collect hearts if it wasn't even real.

Yea it does. Lol. That is one of the reasons why I thought she had one of their Keyblades.

 

And I didn't know the part about Roxas going to sleep at the same time as Sora being in CA, Lol. Didn't make that connection.
