I know some people might disagree but personally, i think the reason why Xaldin was chosen to antagonize Beast in Kingdom Hearts II instead of Gaston is because Gaston is more Belle's enemy then Beast's, in the original Beauty and the Beast film, Gaston only set out to kill the Beast because he was jealous of how the Beast at that point had earned Belle's affection, so basically, its not that he had anything personal against the Beast other then being judgmental against his outer looks and his love for Belle, he just wanted to kill Beast because of the connection between both him and Belle had made during the film, however, Xaldin served more of Beast's personal enemy, since he set out to antagonize the Beast wholeheartedly, Xaldin pushed Beast's buttons too far and Beast even mentioned Xaldin's name as a sign of the latter's antagonism against both Beast and those he loves, know what i mean? so yeah, i just want to ask this question, what do you think? is Gaston more Belle's enemy and Xaldin more Beast's enemy?
