so you downloaded it today...and are basically complaining because you don't know how to use it?

Seriously?

Let me just quickly answer your problems:

-To "save a video to your computer" go to "File" and then "Render as..."

-To turn off the clip sounds, first make sure the clip sounds and music are on two different layers. There are two ways to do this: You can either manually go to each clip and drag the top bar all the down on the audio piece, or you can go over to the side, see where it says "Layer 3" in probably green or something, and take the top of the two or three bars and drag that all the way down. If that makes sense, because it's 7am and I just woke up.

Obviously Vegas does not suck just because you can't figure it's functions out given a whole one day. Obviously many other people can use Vegas 8.0 and the video will save to the computer, the clips won't be heard, and the music will be heard (BTW, don't touch the "Master Volume").

Jeez, patience is a virtue.

Vegas 8.0 does NOT suck, sir. It is... my best friend, my lover, and my partner until death do us part. *ahem*

Anyways... it took me a good week or so just to figure it out. And I still learn new stuff about it every day! It's a professional system so there's lots of stuff involved with it. Look up some tutorials and you'll do fine. (:

i dont use 8.0 but i use 9.0 platinum and it took me a good 2 weeks to figure it out! and i still cant make masks all i can do is frames!lol!

I used to use sv9plat too!

You can't mask on it; you need 8 or 9 pro. ^^

I'm to scared to upgrade my vegas because I won't know how to use it. xD

Rose~ ditto. xD I'm perfectly happy with my sv8, even though I constantly want to chuck it out the window...xD

Lol. I do have my days with it where... it makes me angered.

But it is a GOD compared to WMM. O:

All of you have good versions of vegas! I have sony vegas movie studio 8.0... which is like training wheels for the real vegas or something... >.

LOL.

but your vids look like stuff from vegas pro 8!!

You downloaded it today.............when you haven't even gotten used to it.......and you're complaining.

O_o first off, "publishing" is what it's called on WMM. On Sony Vegas it's called "rendering." My audio system is just fine. You also have to make a separate audio layer for your music and in game clips if you're using both.

That program's bad ass and I've been using it for a year now...

You really should go look up online tutorials, and do the interactive tutorial it gives you..... >.>

WAIT! how did you get it to work!?!?!
