A Kilkis Seres Christmas (A companion RP to Overworld)

Posted

This RP is a companion to the Overworld universe.  The main RP can be seen here, and the sign-ups here.  The main RP is in its closing stages and not accepting new players, though I am accepting guest characters to enter for this holiday special.  If you are interesting in bringing a character, please visit the sign-ups and create a character sheet. : )

The rules for this Christmas special are as follows:

1) No controlling other people's characters
2) Keep things PG-13
3) Be respectful to the other players and their wishes
4) KH13 requires RP posts to consist of at least five lines to be a true RP post.  While I am fine with a short post here and there, don't make it a habit of creating one-liners.  I would like this thread to be RP-material to be kept in this section, but if we have too many short posts this thread will have to go into random.  I'd rather this not happen, so let's try to stick close to five-line posts if possible, please.

This RP is meant to be fun and a parody/spinoff to Overworld.  It is not canon to the actual story and the characters are meant to be random/sometimes be OOC.  Deceased characters have been revived, and both friends and foe will be dining at the same table without trying to kill one another.  OP characters are fine.

"Your Highness, are you certain?" A wizened old fey glanced at the queen over his spectacles, wrinkling his nose at the guest list.  "This is a lot of people, and with our recent expenditures with the World Below and housing countless humans . . . ."

"We will make it work," Queen Shiva interjected.  "They are our guests, and it is Christmas.  I want everyone together, and I would like everyone to have a good time."

The elder man swallowed hard and nodded, his eyes widening at a name upon the list.  "Why, you would even invite the black witch . . . !"

At this the queen sighed and rose from her throne, her festive turquoise dress shimmering in the late sunlight cast from the nearby window.  "That will be all.  Please make the necessary preparations, and tell my son that he is to give a speech to his future people."

"R-right, yes, yes, of course, Your Highness."  And with that the man departed, buzzing off in search of Prince Jynn, the heir to the throne.

The Tide Mother was content enough by Shiva's embrace that she began to think to the times when they first met each other. She was older than Shiva so she instantly took a liking to the young girl back when their parents used to hold meetings.

"I have been fine, Shiva, and I couldn't be more happier now that I've had the chance to see you once more," Leviathan answered with a smile, "My husband, sadly, couldn't make the journey with us. Preparations for the Winter's Blessing festival were slightly behind schedule, and so he offered me the chance to come to your party while he stayed to attend that matter. Thankfully, Judge Magister Eliltari Ar-feiniel, Court Painter Aurora Aeternum and her brother Aurion, agreed to accompany me on this journey. And what about you, dear? I have not seen Raiden yet, is he not present tonight?"

Leviathan looked at the physical contact between Shiva and the girl next to her, which was a tad strange. If Shiva allowed that kind of approach from the girl that was fine by her. The Tide Mother nodded at Shiva's suggestion to move their conversation towards the dining area. Meanwhile Aurion was looking between the two queens.

"It is quite impressive when you think about it." He said quietly.

"Whatever do you mean, Aurion?" Asked Rabiyu.

"The Tide Mother and the Frostbearer. They look very much alike, if I didn't knew, I would say that they are related in some form, they could be sisters."

Rabiyu looked towards the retreating form of the Tide Mother and the Frostbearer for a moment. The difference in height was noticeable, but looking at both her backs she thought that perhaps Aurion was right, they looked somewhat similar.

"Shouldn't you, uh, we, stay close to Her Highness? It seems that it is almost time for dinner." He said to the elf.

"That would be wise, yeah. As her retainer I should stay close just in case something goes wrong." Answered to him.

"I'm sure everything will be fine. By the way, are you going to keep holding onto that gift, Eli? I think it would be better if you put it under the tree." Aurion said while smiling.

"Nonsense. I will keep it with me for the time being." She answered without actually looking at him, "Come on, Aurion, let us follow the Tide Mother."

Both the white haired elf and the young man in the black suit followed Leviathan closely, yet a little distance away, they didn't want to stand in her way, not tonight, not after waiting for so long to met with Shiva after all those years.

The younger Aeternum sibling was further embarrassed by Helios's words. She looked as a goddess to him, something that no one had told her before, ever. And she had to admit, even if it was only to herself, that Helios looked very dashing.

"Well, it seems that both of us have been blessed in many ways today, I got the chance to see you once more. It has been kind of lonely not having you by my side, but I do understand that you are working on your encyclopedia, and for that, I am proud of you," Aura said with a gentle smile, "Typical Uriel and Silverstrider, always reaching a compromise in the end. Your parents are quite an interesting couple, Helios. And you indeed look quite handsome, don't let anyone tell you otherwise."

Helios taking her hands in his made Aura blush slightly, she was not used to either much physical contact or sudden displays of affection, unless they were in private, but she was happy nonetheless.

"Oh, you should see the festival that is held all around the north. It is quite something. The fistival is called Winter's Blessing, people from the Holy Order of the Silver Cross offer enchanted pieces of paper to write a wish," Aura said in a slightly excited tone, " then, at the eve of the Winter's Blessing festival, people gather in the city square and people of the Holy Order use arcane magic to turn the pieces of paper into small pieces of crystal that fly into the sky. It looks so beautiful. It's like watching hundreds, thousands of small shooting stars flying towards the sky."

She had been witness of such spectacle the year before, although Helios wasn't there at the time, it was still an amazing sight, but it would have been better if Helios was there. She understood the reason, though, and she was fine with it. Helios's kiss on her forehead brought her back from memory lane.

"Thank you," She said as she slowly leaned forwards and placed a gentle kiss on Helios's lips, "Merry Christmas to you too, Helios."

Jynn Venas-Kilkes Seres

Not many responded to Jynn’s holiday wishes, as they were all catching up with one another. Perhaps the smell of horse wasn’t pleasant to some of the guests. However, he needed to change into a more desirable attire no matter. The prince excuses himself. “Well, make yourselves at home. I have to change into a more appropriate outfit.”

Jynn heads up the stairway leading to his room, with a small present in his hand.

{Mariel}

Mariel beamed at being told she would be getting a present. She didn't really expect to get any, so it was always a pleasent surprise when she got one.

"Good thing I already have yours." She replied to Raiden. "Though not on me. I may have to spend most of the party going around giving gifts. I could give Father Christmas a run for his money."

A mischievous grin spread across the Angel's face.

"I even borrowed some of his wardrobe for the occasion."
