I wonder if we will ever get a combination keyblade with sora, riku, and Kairi.

Sora’s is called Nightmare’s End and Riku’s is called Mirage Split

I can explain that shit real easily.

Taking off the shipping googles for a moment to really get a feel for why there’s a big difference in dynamic.

The reason why Kairi-Sora feels disingenuous compared to Riku-Sora is because Kairi has only seen Sora when he’s victorious. Meanwhile, Riku has seen Sora, not only when they’ve won the battle, but when they’ve lost as well.

I mean you got that one scene in kh3 where they share a paopu fruit

Kairi has this, almost warped, perception of Sora in the sense that “he’s a perfect Knight in Shining Armor, he’ll always be there, he can do no wrong, and he can’t lose.” It’s placing him on a pedestal that’s, not only unrealistic, but strange as well.

Meanwhile, Riku has seen damn near everything. The bad, the ugly, and he’s seen Sora be desperate, almost falling to darkness. He knows Sora needs saving sometimes because he’s been the one to do it. They’re on equal footing, even if the Exam is stupid.

Kairi has a real ‘damsel in distress’ complex that Nomura just can’t shake

Took until ReMind for her to do something of her own merit, then they immediately give it the middle finger in MoM
