I've seen a couple and it's standard strat as Aqua to nab the ingredients so they can spellweaver at will later.

Just because it shreds bosses so badly.

bbs has awesome ideas

i think it being on the psp really firetrucked it though

those early trailers of bbs make it seem so different to me lol, with ven and terra in KH2 hollow bastion. Probably just a placeholder

but it makes the game seem super different

something i wish bbs did a lot more of

was the three of them running into each other more often

cuz it only happens like twice

ah that's the age old "KH needs more party interactions"

KH has great characters but they dont interact enough

because you have no party members at all, and unlike DDD there's not much of an excuse

even DDD does a good job of base interactions within the disney worlds

like the Grid sucks as a world but it's cutscenes are pretty great

it really is

but overall DDD when you view just it's cutscenes ends up feeling really cool and fun! much like KH1 in my personal opinion

one of the most hated worlds in ddd is apparently the hunchback world which kinda surprised me

was one of my favs

also quasi's conflict resonated well with both sora and riku i thought

with sora's heart literally being a prison, and riku shutting himself off

grid is the one world that felt super inconclusive

it felt kinda unfinished to me

i still to this day find it impressive that every world has its own field and battle themes. No other JRPG does that for its areas

it's essentially manipulation data and the quantitative ability to take memories and the soul and convert it into data which is technologically a feat that we are just now able to do IRL

so when you have all this data, you can move it anywhere you want and inject it anywhere you want

combine that with magic to tap into the inner parts of people's souls and bam, you get DDD and KH3

and yeah i agree! Typical JRPGs have like 3 battle themes which evolve while all areas stay unique
