I’m a KH2 fan, therefore I hate everything released after KH2 because it isn’t KH2

I believe that’s how it works for everyone

I think it was just lightning in a bottle

More than its combat or earnest characters and story, KH2 just captured the essence of the mid to late 2000s

Or at least the tween/teen culture of that time

kh2 was such a tween game

KH1 is a bomafide classic in every sense of the word, its timeless, while KH2 drags you to the time it wss made in

I would call everything about KH1 timeless except its gameplay

And KH3 Idk, it just doesn't feel anything strongly I guess. Actually no, scratch that, I know exactly what KH3 has tapped into, that nostalgic reboot culture that's so popular today

Story? Sure. Aesthetic? Absolutely? Charm? Of course! Gameplay? Ehhhh......

i will say one thing i miss about kh1 is the random secret bosses

now secret bosses are just upgraded story bosses

I don’t think KH3 tapped into nostalgia at all, because if it did, the original worlds that we’ve come to love would be bigger

I mean I played KH1 most recently and I played BBS straight after and like... I just don't see where the bad gameplay is? Like the melee combos felt good and weighty

I would miss the KH1 secret bosses if any of the KH1 secret bosses were good. Apart from Kurt Zisa, I still like him

Well it's 1 am and I only cottoned onto the idea rn

as far as ive ever felt ive never really felt like kingdom hearts was a disney game

like it has a lot of disney of course

but it feels separate from that

KH1 felt the most Disney to me

But basically I mean that it's banking on to old disney films for success

Like the reboots

It's just a new lick of paint

And it feels like 30+ year olds these days love that shit

I guess 25+ year olds too, idk really I'm just guessing

the live action reboots are dumb and i hate them oodles

total waste of time, money, and resources

You can't deny there's oodles of money being made from them though
