in the secret ending mickey says to yensid that he knows where ventus's heart is and then they say that only leaves terra. Does that mean they already know that aqua is in the realm of darkness or have they just forgotten about her?

Not necessarily. He doesn't have to be the one to save everyone. It's just that he plays the bigger role. Aqua could just as easily be saved by Riku, and saving Terra would most likely be done by him as well.
