...if xion was never in 358/2 days? how would the story play out? how would roxas's and axel's friendship would have been different? and what will be the reason roxas leaves the orginization? this was really just a thought while i was doodling, and for some reason i wanted to post this question up.

...and please no fangirl/fanboy(?) banters like "it would be so much better because xions not in it" and "it would be better because akuroku would be in it"... i happen to like Xion (top 5 fave chara ^^), and i don't really think there would be any akuroku in it (remember, there are NO pairings in the game, no yaoi, no yuri, not even het.)

Well then, what do you guys think would happen?

The story without Xion? Well, it was planned since the end of KH2 that Roxas would leave because of a girl.

 

We could easily replace the girl with Namine, who (just a suggestion), tries to get recruited into the Organization, or become their prisoner again. Whatever, either one will work, as long as it gets her into the castle. From there, she finally meets Roxas, and since it's inevitable, the two will become friends. Roxas was able to obtain Sora's memories even without Xion, so that will still work. However, every day that Namine is there, she steadily starts taking back the memories that Roxas had unintentionally stolen and transfers them back to Sora. Eventually, Roxas finds out, and feeling betrayed, leaves the Organization, in search of his own answers to questions that stemmed from Namine's betrayal and the strange dreams he's been having. From there, it's essentially Deep Dive. To be honest, when I first saw ASAS/Deep Dive, I was under the assumption that Roxas was trying to leave the Dark City, not return to it. It could play out like that, where he's trying to leave The World that Never Was, and on his way, encounters Riku at Memory's Skyscraper.

 

Or (an even more convoluted theory that's not meant to be serious), Riku somehow manages to deceive the Organization into believing that he's the Riku Replica and joins their ranks 8D

O.O that sounds ridiculous. Why would Namine join the Organization if she's trying to recoonect sora's memories again? All that seems unlikely. i mean, Roxas would leave because of a girl? No way,he would most likely leave to get answers of who he was and why he came into existence, and probably try to become his own person. And riku trying to be Riku replica? No way , we already know that Riku isn't the type of person and say "hey guys I am Riku Replica. May I join the Organization". plus, Xemnas and the other never even knew about Riku Replica. Only the members of C.O. knows him. Seriously, the part with Roxas leaving for a girl and Namine joining the organization just to talk and bond with Roxas sounds like fanservice.

I mean, sure she is the nobody of one of the princesses of heart, but that doesn't mean she can fight like all the other nobodies. I consifder her more of a bystander. Who said she'd need to fight? We've seen in Days that not all members are sent out on combat oriented missions, and there's the possible prisoner scenario as well. What I'm proposing is a way for Namine to be more involved with the plot, and the only thing that's required is for her to get into the castle where everything happens. Whether she fights or not, I don't really care. She's really even less of a fighter than Kairi is, and I'm not dumb enough to suggest sending her out into the battlefield with no protection.

This is a fanfic idea in the making.

1. There is really no need for Namine to go back to the org it take the memories from Roxas. She can take the memories wile not being in physical contact of the person.

2. If she did go back to the org they could easily brake her will to tell them were she been during her disappearance in CO. Thus them capturing Sora and DiZ.

3.Nomura had intentions on having Riku and Roxas meet each other to fight, but it was scratched.

 

I Days would be about his everyday life with the org and then his recurring dreams as Sora dives him to look for the truth. In the mist of "digging" he finds out Axel and co. been lying to him about the truth in which pushes him to leave. He meets DiZ/Riku telling him to meet Riku at Memory's Skyscraper to tell him about Sora, they fight and KH2 start. I think side plots would be interesting to. Like Mickey and Riku separating, Riku dealing with Ansem inside him, DiZ dealing with Sora's sluber, putting the data in Sora, Axel and Saix over throwing the org, the back stories of the other org members, the secrets of the Org, and due to Coded being strongly tied to what Namine was doing during that time could also be a side plot.

Of course all the members of the organization will be sent to heart collect. They go on missions like recon missions so they can analyze and study the world/area they have discovered to get to know the place better. And don't think that she won't go on heart collection missions. Saix will make sure of that. She won't need a keyblade to do it either, just like the other members, they fight heartless regardless if they weild a keyblade or not. We all witnessed that in 358/2 days. Besides, 358/2 days focuses more on Roxas and the Org's backstory, not Namine and Roxas's relationship.

It would stay the same everyone forgot about xion and roxas and axel continued the friendship as it was

If there wasn't Xion in this game, then to me, the whole game would loose it's point. If they didn't have Xion in the game, then Roxas probably wouldn't have left the Organization, his frendship with Axel would've been much better, yada yada yada.

Well, evn if Xion wasn't in 358/2 days, that won't mean that Roxas wouldn't leave the organization. square-Enix would probably think of something else to make Roxas leave the organization, end his friendship with Axel,, and find a different reason to look for Sora.
