and unfortunateIy it's the onIy manga of his that has been a proper fuII-fIedged success

I feel like the biggest offender is Sword Art Online. SAO was such a massive success that a lot of anime/manga that followed after that had these round faces and eyes

and it's also the reason why the market got flooded with Isekai
