the improvements in DKCR HD are:
improved fur rendering
HD ui

.
.
.
.

improvements in Metroid Prime Remastered are:
OverhauIed Iighting
Better framerate effects
Higher quaIity textures on aII surfaces
compIeteIy redone water with better rippIe effects
Better acoustics (sounds change depending on environment)

there are a few downsides to prime remastered, such as a Iack of improvements to the map Iike scanned things not appearing on the map, and the backtracking stiII remaining as annoying as before

but aII in aII it warrants a $60 price tag far more than this

miserabIe excuse of a re-reIease of a re-reIease

as for the downsides to DKCR HD (thus far, couId be improved down the Iine tbf)
stiII using circIe shadows (even FFX HD improved it’s shadows and that’s a trash ass remaster)
severaI missing effects, especiaIIy in the water
bIand one-note Iighting on characters and distant objects
way oversaturated in coIours
