Ok so then how does “passing a keyblade” work

Since its bound to ones heart

Well sometimes it can be given to you and received like Terra and Riku, or it can be given by accident, like Aqua and Kairi- but the passing down is kind of just dressing on a salad- qualities of the heart are the most important factors

And got a new one

Did he have to rebind that new one to his heart orrr
