The build is very clear to be using assets of SM2 to make a baseline for the next game.

and in the worse case of totk 6 years

I think that's part of the reason why critisms in games tend to be more extreme these days- on sequels that is

6 years for a game, quality and content wise, we would have gotten in 1½ years-3 years back in the day.

What's the compromise tho?

I don't think we should sacrifice graphical fidelity but we need more games and we need them faster.

I thought* the new tech was gonna help, and it has- I *guess but all it did was shorten 5-7 year dev times down to 4-6 🥲
