I have enjoyed origins and odyssey, but not as assassin's creed games so much. Syndicate was the last actual ac game iirc
Shadows seems like at least a partial return to form (maybe mirage was? Idk, looked possible)

They just... it used to be that you had this bloodline deal where you could see shit, then they decided "what if we just had any random person instead?" and decided that meant a switch from sneaky stabbing to "I'm a walking arsenal and fight people head on"

Syndicate WAS the last true AC game we had. I did not like how they took the turn on the combat however. It feels like there’s no weight behind the attacks and the enemies dont quite react nicely to ur attacks. I LOVED unity’s combat cuz it actually required skill and the enemies actually react to ur attacks, the parkour is also smooth as firetruck in the previous games but feel so slow and kinda jittery in the newer games

I always wish they would revert to 0 and go back to pre origins times cuz the games were so much better back then
