New horizons can be fun, but there are some glaring issues that past games didn't have (so it feels like regression). Despite that, it makes strides forward that those past games didn't have, and that's positive for future titles.
Of course, the issue that irks me the most is the fact that they ended updates/support for the game less than 2 years in. Just firetruckin' crammed everything into 1 big update and said "we're done, bye" (and so why would anyone still playing bother to stick around after that)

Yeah I still have 0 and a half clue why they did that- even if that 'was the plan' all alone- why not call an audible and continue support for it? It brought you Hella BREAD Nintendo???
