You cant compare what larian is doing to what e33 did

E33 is evidence that people don't care about smaller use of AI. In fact they didn't even notice the AI generated assets

Atleast they patched out theirs

until someone pointed it out weeks later

I think we should look at this from a different angle; they didn't notice cause they don't know what to look for + the tech is getting harder to discern

I think thats cause for concern

it's exactly why Larian is saying this now

It means the tech and devs are getting better at tricking us

because now they can point at gamers with "but you guys didn't care about it when you played E33"

But that's attributing informed consent when there was no informing

It doesn't hold weight

it's why they have become more comfortable in terms of talking so openly about it

Gamers being ok with ai and devs not telling us about ai/it being harder to tell are not the same things tho
