Brittany Slates' plan was set. She was going to grab the backpack full of who-knows-what, that sat about twenty feet from her. Once she'd done that, she was getting into the woods and STAYING there. Brittany's heart seemed to be ready to leap it of her chest, and her stomach felt ready to fall through her toes. She just might retch.

Instead, though, as the gong sounded, the teen sprinted forward as quickly as she could she would get that backpack.

Daniel's ears rang with the opening music. Just a few moments after the noise had sounded, other Tributes were already beginning to fight. He winced at the violent scene. What were these people doing? Attacking each other like they were crazed as they scrambled for bags stuffed in the Cornucopia. Another boy charged at him. Daniel stared in bewilderment. Was he being attacked..?

The blood in Whitney Trey seemed suddenly quite cold. She shivered, though the sun was beating down on the Tributes. The moment the tribute stepped off her platform, she was sprinting. AWAY from the abundance of supplies, and towards who the hell knows what.

Before then, being drawn as a Tribute had just been a sweet dream--as she started to realize it's reality, though, suddenly joy turned to pure fear. She had the urge to scream and find a wall to bang against. NO.

Horace was pacing in circles. His heart thumped fast. Here was his plan. He was going to run up, (very risky) and just take it... He closed his eyes...and he was off. He ran up to the cornucopia, closing his eyes. He grabbed only one object, but he was afraid to look. Horace sprinted as fast as he can. He stopped to see what it was. He opened his eyes, slow as a tortoise walking a marathon and saw it...before his eyes was big brown wooden bat. He grasped it, wondering what to do. He walked across a girl, looking alone. Horace ignored her, and he ran.

Patricia was never good at planning. All she did was walk to the cornucopia, turned her head to see who was there, and grabbed what seemed a skinny weapon. She then ran and stopped to see a boy, walking in front of her. She grabbed her sword, ready to attack, following his running.

Ariana Black was in the woods in a tree. Maybe, JUST maybe, if she stayed here; she wouldn't die? It's not like she had anything too live for anyway. Then again, suicide? Cowards way out. Yeah, that will be her excuse! No. . . she must fight or something. She sighed and got her sword ready and jumped out of the tree and looked around.

Tony McCoughlin was standing in the woods, with his sword. While he looked around, he saw no-one in sight. He had too live. Maybe he would see his sister? "No, no. Don't say that. You don't want too see her, she could die, and she is in the Capitol citizen right?" That's what he heard. He sighed and looked behind him and saw a girl jump down from a tree. She was attractive. . .NO! You cannot think like that! He walked over, with a big smile on his face. "Hey!" he yelled.

Ariana looked back and saw a boy walk over too her, sword ready she smiled. She wasn't going to die. . . yet.

As soon as Brittany's fingers were curled around a strap, she turned on her heel, and ran. Within a few moments, though, she was gasping for breath. When you barely even had to walk, because you were rich enough to have a car, it seemed a lot easier to become tired. Whitney wasn't even sure of the last time she'd had to run--probably when she was a toddler. It was "unbecoming", as her mother had said. She wondered what her mother would think now, as her terrified daughter sprinted through the woods. Her side cramped, her mouth tasted bitter, and tears blurred her vision, but Brittany knew for sure she wouldn't stop. There was adrenaline pumping through her veins, and a desire she'd never felt before--the desire to live.

Daniel put an arm out towards the boy charging at him. The boy seemed scared--maybe of Daniel's muscle? Did he think Daniel was going to hurt him? Why would he think that? Daniel shook his head, then waved and smiled at the boy before jogging off into the woods. Maybe that was where the other exit was. Surely there must be something wrong with these kids--they were sick or something, and needed a doctor. What could possibly drive them to pick up weapons and attempt to kill each other?

Whitney stood glued to her platform for a moment. She could feel the bile working its way up her throat. No--no, this had to be a bad dream. If she really were in the Hunger Games, she'd.. she'd.. she'd be brave.. she'd already have won.. right? She was part fo the Careers, she already knew that. It upped her chances of survival monumentously. So why couldn't she bring herself to move?

After swallowing back her fear, Whitney managed to break into a run. Supplies. They were sitting there, being taken by other Careers. She was going to help. That's what she'd do if she had been dreaming.

Lucas had to risk it. Once the 60 seconds were up, he darted towards the middle, determine to get his hands on a bow and arrow he saw. His feet kicked up dust from the dry ground as he was just seconds away from the bow. He snatched it up quickly, along with the several arrows, about a dozen that were located near it. That
