There is no release date for 3D, however the 3DS is out March 27th and will cost $250.

+ Tax, and if you have a DS, you can sell that and get a small discount on it, I hope gamestop will buy my DSi for $100, that would really take a burden off my back for buying the 3DS for KH3D

Probably not, but there will be a few games out upon the release date that's for certain, because if not you could only play regular DS games until they did make some.

How long do you think it will take for the price to go down on a 3DS? Is it really worth $250?

Anywhere between a few months and a year.

It all depends on the market value, if it's at a high demand, the price will remain the same, but when less and less people want one, it's price will decrease.

No one knows the release date of Kingdom Hearts 3D, heck, we have limited info on it already. As for the 3DS itself, you'll be able to pick up starting March 29 for $250 (yes, it's expensive, but it's SO worth it), or you can preorder it on Amazon.com. Believe me, KH3D is just ONE of the amazing games in store for the 3DS. I'm gonna have to start saving up! :D

Will the 3DS be reverse compatible?

Where did you hear that? It's recently had it's first trailer come out.

Will the 3DS be reverse compatible?

What's that mean?

What's that mean?

It means can it play regular DS games, like how the original DS and DS Lite can play GBA games.

Oh, well if it isn't, I will really really be mad, but I'm sure it will be, I hope.

I'm pretty sure that I heard somewhere that it is.

EDIT: Yup it is!

Almost all existing Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi games can be played on a Nintendo 3DS system in 2D. With backwards compatibility, your existing portable games look and play just as well*.

* Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi games will be displayed in 2D graphics. Select Nintendo DS games that use accessories in the Game Boy

No, regular DS' don't have the graphical capabilities of the 3DS. The 3DS can play DS games, but it doesn't work the other way around.

Just like with the PS Games-->PS2 but PS2 Games-/->PS, same thing with the PS2 and PS3 and Xbox and Xbox 360 and Game Cube and Wii, except it wouldn't even be possible to put Wii games in the Game Cube, so yeah.
