Hey guys, I'm new to the forums here, but I've had some burning questions lately and speculation is definitely my thing. See, I popped in KH2 last night and started from a save file in Halloween Town. After beating it, I was told to check out Twilight Town because something strange was going on and Chip and Dale saw two. After continuing to play for some time, these thoughts came to mind:

 

1 - Why were Hayner, Pence and Olette looking for Kairi at the mansion when they clearly saw Axel take her away through a dark portal? (At this point, they were certain there was an 'Alternate Twilight Town' because of Olette's purse and the blue bauble and all that, but they somehow drew a conclusion that Kairi might be there... how...?)

 

2 - So I go and touch the beam of light in the computer room and find the entrance to the Dark Realm as instructed by Mickey, who was apparently told to do this by Riku. Question is - since I'm suddenly in the Alternate/Digital Twilight Town with the smashed computer and go through a portal there, does the portal go to an Alternate Dark Realm and this means I end up in an Alternate World that Never Was and the rest of the game entirely is done in an Alternate dimension because I never leave through the computer back to Reality?

 

My only evidence to the contrary is that Axel hacked into DiZ's computer from the castle in TWTNW, on orders, to bring back Roxas. This failed, of course, and Sora woke up in the real world. Sora was told to go the Dark Realm in the Digital Twilight Town to find the 'back door' Axel used to get into DiZ's Digital Twilight Town to retrieve Roxas.

 

In theory - did a digital Axel send me through the portal back to reality?

 

(Side note - could the events of Birth by Sleep have happened in an alternate reality past created by Xemnas so he could finally remember his past? >3)

no it was the real thing. you see roxas was placed in virtual twighlight town. which so happens to be next to the world that never was.

1. people in twilight town always thought of the mansion as a place people would go to when doing mysterious stuff. someone going through a dark portal isn't something commonly seen, so if you're someone who believes the superstition of the mansion, you might think a dark portal might have something to do with the mansion.

They didn't think Kairi was there. They all went there along with Sora because they thought that the Old mansion had hid some kind of alternate Twilight Town. They didn't just go and assume that Kairi would be there.

Well, yes as a matter of fact. It does lead to an Alternate dark realm of Twilight Town. TWTNW is pretty much really close to the darkness, as Pete had stated in a cutscene when him and Maleficent were about to fight off the Heartless. So it is considered a alternate dark realm of Twilight Town in that way.

Axel didn't hack DiZ's computer, he just found a way to go in the vitual Twilight Town, but it isn't really explained how he got in. So there isn't a "back door" that Axel even found, he just used a corridor of darkness to get in and out nof the simulated Twilight Town.

If you're talking about the MF, we don't know who he really is. There isn't any information about him or his motives. you can't just assume he's Xemnas just because he uses blades similiar to Xemnas's Etheral Blades. And there is no alternate reality of BBS, there never was one. So I rest my case.

Have you read the novels? At all? KH Volume 2, Chapter 6, Axel - 7 Days. Here's a link to that. Below's just a small excerpt. Organization XIII had to retrieve Roxas from the virtual town, remember? They found a way in, and that's that.

Yes, but that doesn't mean that they just thought that Kairi was was there. They were just trying to find a way to help get Kairi back from Axel.

This makes the digital world act like an alternate dimension if no trace of you is left in the physical world. The Axel Organization XIII sent through their computer was the real Axel. The Axel that Sora saw die was also the real Axel, I'm only left wondering how and why Axel was in the digitized Twilight Town again to help Sora portal back out of the digitized world.

Okay first of all, you never corrected me to begin with. i have corrected you on a lot of things that was thrown off. Second of all, I don't really don't post the sources unless I find it necessary. Unless you've forgotten, this is a KH website, so that means a lot of people already know what you mean. So there's no need for me to post sources unless I find it necessary to do so.

Fact: In KH2, Sora goes to the digital Twilight Town on instructions from Mickey, which Mickey got from Riku, touches the beam of light, goes through a Dark Portal to Betwixt and Between, and Axel sends them through a portal to TWTNW (and presumably, back out of the digital existence into reality). What more do you want from me? I played the game, I'm telling it as it is and not making anything up there.

In the end, its safe to say there was no other way to shuffle Sora from point A to point B without using a dark portal. Sora was sent into the digital Twilight Town, simply so he could meet Axel there, and be sent back on through to the other side. Axel was probably there because it was the best place to hide from Saix.

But thatr doesn't mean that they assumed Kairi woould be there. As I said before, they went there because they suspected that the Old Mansion was hiding something that would lead to the alternate Twilight Town.

Or to just bring Roxas back into the Organization.

Axel didn't hack into the computer, he used a dark portal to get in, which was left open. This same portal was used by Sora to get into TWTNW. The portal itself wasn't data, it just lead into the data. Also, just because you enter data doesn't make a data copy of yourself. The only data copies are the inhabitants of Diz's virtual Twilight Town that held Roxas until Sora could be revived, the people in in the digitized version of Jiminy's Journal, including the Data-Sora that Mickey created, and the Data-Riku that was created to represent the Journal itself. There is no Data-Axel, and there never has been. As for the BBS thing, that's just wrong. BBS is a game that takes place 10 years before KH1, so it can't be something Xemnas created. As for what you call Terra's "flash-forward deja-vu" I have no idea what you're talking about.

1 already been answered, the mansions pretty much considered haunted so they looked there.

 

2 its a digital twilight town that had a portal axel left.

 

also, i have a theory of why they couldn't approach twtnw without going through there. there are worlds of light, worlds of darkness, and worlds in between. from the realm of light you cannot enter a world of darkness. and the same goes for the opposite. twilight town and co are worlds inbetween. by passing through these, you can go to a world in the other realm. this explains how mickey and riku went through co back to the realm of light in com. so sora, donald, and goofy could not go into twtnw without passing through twilight town.

C.o.D.s can go anywhere that exists digital or otherwise That's how Axel got there.
