It really can... My best friends and everyone else getting asked out but me... It really sucks for the single people... And I know I'm not the only one... There are others that are going through it as well... People say you don't need a boyfriend at 13 but really it's the source of both happiness and sadness... Even if it may be brief I would like the pleasure to know a boy just might care for me... Even in hope today.....apparently I was wrong...

i'm 13, i couldn't care less about having a girlfriend. tbh at my school in my year going out is basically people saying they're going out, and having other people shout abuse at them for not snogging eachother every second of the day.

seriously, don't worry, a lot of boys probably do care about you, just are too afraid to ask you out.

Dude, I'm sixteen soon. Never dated, but I didn't really care until I was nearing 15. I was all "FOCUS ON MY STUDIES GRARGHHHH" and stuff, blergh.

I can't relate too much to the "never been asked out" side of things, but I can offer one glimmer of hope, sort of- it's MUCH worse to be asked out purely because a guy thinks "you're over a size 10 and so will put out". You'll find someone who genuinely likes you eventually, who you can really grow close to. Try just talking to boys like a mate, and maybe if you progressively make friends with the right guy, it'll be easier...?

It's a long-term thing, really.

Ehh I've never celebrated it always been single on valentines day, I finnaly have someone to love, But For you I bet there is someone that likes you and is affraid to ask you, But If You want a long term lasting relationship with someone you have to build that in someone over time, Not right away.

I know what you mean. I'm 12, single, and I've asked a bunch of girls i liked before, and guess what.

I got rejected.

every.

single.

time.

Valentine's day can suck

the best hope I could have is that ONE DAY it might be possible I don't spend that day alone...

It's so hard... Well i think my problem is I'm too shy to even talk to boys really. I'm always afraid of being hurt so I don't even bother but at the same time I'm trying to work up the courage to talk to the one I like... But thanks for all the nice words. I really appreciate it!

I don't want to offend anyone but one of the things I hate the most is seeing 10-14 year olds dating. You're 13 and you do not need a boyfriend. You have plenty of time to find someone when your older.

I'm 14 and I don't want or need a boyfriend. Sometimes I do think it would be nice if a boy just asked me out but then I remember I have family and friends who love me, so why do I need to worry about that?

Some boy will care about you but you don't need to worry about that until your older.

Despite popular beliefs, being single on Valentines Day isn't that Bad.

Guys you're really making it into Melancholic Cynicism day! I dont which is worse people in relationships boasting it or people not in one boasting it! It really is just a day and its only as bad as you want it to be

What im saying is what you mean... It'd be nice to have one and I know i have friends that love me and I am perfectly fine with just that... Its just that when people are dating, they put you down for not having one and no matter how much you ignore it it kind of hurts...

CCDD is right. It's jsut a regular day, besides your all to young anyways to e dating. enjoy and love yourselves.

In my oppion I think boasting and whinying about relationships and saying "oh i don;t ahve a bf or gf this." is kinda pointlless. think positive happy thoughs.
