What door exactly did he find in his experiments beneath the castle? Also, how did he open the door without a keyblade? How did that door even appear to him? What did he see when he actually opened the door?

Featured Replies

1. Probably the Door at the base of the castle or maybe the Door to Darkness.

2. It may have already been open, but im not totally sure.

3. I think it was already there.

4. He saw hords of heartless in the realm of Darkness.

1. The door to the heart of the world

2. Who knows, he might be able to use it still and the whole memory loss thing could be a sham. Hopefully BBSv2 will shed some light on this.

3. He is a Keyblade wielder so he can see keyholes. As for the doors themselves I think anyone can see them. Example: Sora seeing the door but only Riku seeing the keyhole

4. The heart of the world...? Or just the darkness in the heart recreating his obsession with darkness (assuming that it may have disappeared with his memory loss, if not just strengthen the obsession)

The door to the heart of the world:

Ansem's Report

A massive core of energy lay beyond the door sought by the Heartless. It may be the ultimate goal of the Heartless. But what is that energy? I have devised a hypothesis, based upon my observations of the Heartless.

The Heartless feed on other's hearts, and they yearn for that energy core. That thing beyond the door must be a heart, too--the heart of this world. There is no proof, but, having felt that immense energy, I am certain. That was the heart of the world.

The Heartless are trying to take hearts not only from all living creatures, but from the planet itself. But what do they mean to do with the heart of the world?

However, in the final mix version there is a bit more detail...

Ansem's Report 12

I have transcended to an existence of only the heart. I should have come back as a Heartless, but there is no sign of such a transformation.

My body has surely perished. However, I am different from the other Heartless, keeping the memories of before, and I have not taken on the form of a Heartless.

It is evident that there are still many things to be studied.

In order to cross over to the dark realm, which is not this world, you must go beyond the door of Kingdom Hearts, the heart of all worlds.

The core connected to the world's heart, the place that will take me to the world of darkness. (I will record the details in another report...)

There are still so many unknown worlds.

The Realm of the Present...The Realm of darkness. The Realm of light.

And, The Realm of in-between.

In which one will I find sanctuary?

And that heart beyond the door is also kingdom hearts. Radiant garden is the capital of light and holds the final keyhole. It kinda makes sense right?

Hey found the door to the heart of all worlds.

Also, how did he open the door without a keyblade?

He actually did use a keyblade to open the door. he used Destiny's Embrace to open it.

How did that door even appear to him? What did he see when he actually opened the door?

It's said that in one of his "experiments", he somehow found the keyhole to that door and used the keyblade (Destiny's Embrace) to unlock it. And like i sdaid before, he saw the heart of all worlds.

How exactly did you assume it was destiny's embrace? I'm sorry but it makes no sense.

And while on this thread, so at the heart of radiant garden is the heart of all worlds right?

Oops lol my bad. I meant to say the heart of Radient Garden not the heart of all worlds lol. I was rushing on this post at the time (I was busy). Bu Apprentice Xehanort did use Destiny's Embrace to unlock the door though.

The undealt with (wonderful) mysteries we must deal with of kh1... *sighs*

Did you read the ansems report 12? It seemed to suggest that from that worlds heart one could access the dark realm via the dtd, and because the dtd is kingdom hearts, the heart of radiant garden is kingdom hearts.

Once again, where is your evidence for him uses destiny's embrace?

Bu Apprentice Xehanort did use Destiny's Embrace to unlock the door though.

Uhhh, isn't that the keyblade Aqua has, that later Riku has and is given to Kairi in KH2???? I don't think it is possible for him to use it though [although my theory is that Aqua would still have it] But I would laugh out loud seeing him use it.

I agree with that, I think in BBS it is mentioned of a city of light, that is probably why it has the word 'radiant' in it

with Slicer9875, I agree with khoathkeeper13 maybe BBS vol02 will fill up the missing parts.

2. Like said before, maybe he found a way to use his keyblade again.

Or what i rather think (although im not more 100% sure what was said) that he didnt opened the door.

Heartless devour hearts and like we all know the hearts of the worlds too, so isnt it more logicly that a heartless opened the door and xehanort saw this while investiagting them?

Xehanort did open the door because of this:

Ansem's Report 5

To study the Heartless behavior, I picked one out for observation. It wiggled its antennae and, as if sensing a target, headed deep into the castle. In the deepest part of the castle, its antennae began vibrating, as if searching for something. Suddenly, a strange door appeared. I'd never known of its existence.

It had a large keyhole, but didn't seem to be locked. So I opened the door. What I saw on the other side mystified me. What was that powerful mass of energy? That night I observed a great meteor shower in the sky. Could it be related to the door that I have opened?

and the fact that the world would have gone "poof" if the heartless opened the door. BUT, this said, what about ansem seeker of darkness becoming a heartless while passing through this door. and also what about the dtd being within this world, and then we have to consider the final keyhole. I am so confused.

I just realized but how did he open the door if there were no princesses of light. I mean, they were necessary so why was Terranort able to to manipulate the keyhole of Radiant Garden at all? I thought that Radiant Garden's keyhole was different. SPeaking of which, why exactly is Radiant Garden's Keyhole different from every other world's?

Actually, do you see what I just put in bold? That's how he opened the door without a keyblade.

I think Radiant Garden may have had two keyholes. What Xehanort opened was the keyhole that lead to the heart of Radiant Garden, while the other keyhole is the keyhole to darkness that leads to the door to darkness and kingdom hearts. At least, I think.

^^ I was thinking that it had two keyholes as well (except the final keyhole definitely doesn't lead to the dtd, because it is the dtd's keyhole). To put it simply, I see the final keyhole as an the ancient keyhole left over from when the realm of light was one world, and because Radaint Garden is the "capital of light" it would make sense for such a keyhole to be here even after the worlds separated. There just so happens for there to be both the final keyhole naturally here and the dtd connected to this worlds heart as well. The reason why darkness was flowing out of the keyhole was because the keyhole (which would be on both sides of the door) would lead to the other side, the realm of darkness. The keyhole both had to be closed (taking place after the behemoth battle) and sealed from both sides (after final batle) for it to be closed for good.
