I never thought about something like this, it could be optional, since losing the card would be a pain. the game could come with a random card for an optional minigame, tough. I'd actually enjoy it.

An optional AR minigame would be cool, though I am not sure what they could do.

@Kinode

The 3DS can read the AR card even if it is just a picture on a computer screen, a printed out copy, or a really accurate drawing (Doesn't even need color, can be black and white) so hopefully it won't be too much of a problem.

It should come with a remake of Chain of Memories

:P

I don't get it, at all. Could someone please explain this, because I am absolutely lost on the point of this.

Basically, you put a card on a flat surface, and the 3DS' cameras relay the image from the card into the 3DS. Stuff appears on your 3DS' screen absed on what the card is. It can be as simple as a 3D model of a character (The example is Mario) or it could be an entire game. One is a target shooting game, which causes targets to fly your 3DS, and you must physically aim it in order to shoot them. Another is a minigolf game, which warps the terrain around your card, letting you play virtual minigolf.

Basically, they can allow games to exist in real life.

One really awesome idea I've heard of (Though it probably won't happen) is a Pokemon AR game, where two people could play Pokemon against each-other using digital Pokemon that appear on their coffee table.

That would be awesome.

Wow, that is complex. I get it now though, I think, xD
