It says my avatar is too big...

Posted

I tried to upload a photo to put under my username, but it said it's too big. Isn't the picture supposed to shrink down to the right size when you press upload? Under the browse button, that's what it says it's supposed to do- shrink to size. Is what I'm trying to upload simply too big for it to shrink the way it's supposed too? Just wondering... I really want to make what I drew my avatar.

And yeah, I know the paragraph is ambiguous.

Can you show us the image? What dimensions does it have?

Well, I guess it's probably too big, now that I check the dimensions...About five sizes too big... Sorry if I wasted your time.

Most of my pictures are too big but they size down. Maybe your picture's just WAY too big. You also can't use bitmap pics. That gets me sometimes.

It didn't happen to me either. Just shrink the image yourself and download it your computer. Then, repaste.

don't forget to check that the image you want is UNDER 50kb. if it isn't, you'll have to either make it smaller, or go into photoshop and change the quality settings

Pretty sure DChiuch upped the cap.

even so, it's still a possibility that her image is too big.
