Possible to win with busted "L" button

Posted

I've been playing my DS for a long time now, so long that the "L" button doesn't function properly anymore, and the "R" button likes to b difficult at times but usually works. Since I got Chain of Memories WAAAAY after it was released, seeing how much "R" and "L" are used, I don't think I could (practically) beat the game without "L." Any thoughts?

Could u beat KHCOM without an "L" button? 9 members have voted

No. You need L to scroll over to cards on the left. You can use R but it's going to waste your time and take away oppurtunites. The answer is no. You might as well just get a new DS because I don't think they repair it.

I rarely use sleights and keep my deck size down, so that wouldn't really be a problem.

I was planning on getting a 3ds as a replacement instead, but I still don't know if there is a GBA slot on 3ds. Is there?

No there is not

No, why would they need to do that?

You need L to use sleights, but if you build a good deck and level up more than usual, you shouldn't have any troubles without.

Though, CoM may become available on the 3DS' virtual console at some point. GBA games aren't confirmed, but apparently they're likely.

I also agree with your point of view, but I still think you can't win without "L".

The thing is, if you level Sora up to 100, and have a bunch of Ultima attack cards, the game becomes ridiculously easy. At an elixer or two an it's almost depressingly easy. So I'm sure you can beat CoM by making Sora a little overpowered. It'll require some more work, but it's definitely doable.

Riku's story barely uses sleights at all, I went without Dark Mode (Which is the only mode that lets you use attack sleights)for most of the game and not only did I not have any trouble, it was drastically easier than Sora's story because of the upgradeable attack stat.
