I'm sure your doctor told you, but watch your nutrient intake. Nutrient deficiency is common with Chrohn's, but it's not the same in all people. Watch out for drowsiness, loss of energy, and things like that. These are signs of deficiency.

Also, pay attention to what you're eating. Again, Chron's is different for different people, so there isn't really a definitive diet to follow. You might want to write down what you eat for a while and note if anything happens. (Abdominal pain, acid reflux, etc.) I'd say try to eat quite a bit of fiber. It sounds gross, but blockage can be common. You'll wanna... keep the highways open... that was gross even as a metaphor.

Anyways, there may be periods of remission when the symptoms go away, but you'll want to tlak to your doctor about treatments. There are plenty of anti-inflammatories and steroids (<-wtf? Yeah, steroids) to help with the process.

I'm only a nurse, so you'd have to talk to your doctor about things like medications and whatnot. But just don't give up! Crohn's is totally managable.

Just let me know if you have any questions, 'k?

The doctor didn't tell you what kinds of food to eat? I'd find a new doctor.

thanks ansemthewise and they already have me on staroids and Rob i would of got a new doctor for the diet thing but the thing was i asked three doctors they all said doesnt matter and mom just keeped saying but my couson has it and they say there is but they didnt tell her what it was

Keep a log book of the things you eat and how it effects you and at what time of the day/night you eat it. This will help the doctors keep track of your diet and how it reacts with your body and what they may suggest you eat in the future.

Are you sure you're doctor didn't tell you anything about this? Anyway, I would totally reccomend wikipedia like J. Severe said. Also, why are you taking stareoids?

its just part of the treatment the crohns had been stopping me growing but now that i'm on meds to stop that i take the stareoids to help me out a bit more i guess and i know they are also ment to stop me from getting savear cramp

The steroids help to prevent inflamation of the intestinal tract. I wouldn't be surprised if he also put you on antibiotics and an immunosuppresor.

The steroids and immunosuppresor both reduce inflamation, while the antibiotic (of course) protects the body from bacteria that would normally be blocked by your now-suppressed immune system.

actual the doctors said even with the crohns i got a really good immune system they said that it was really weird for someone with crohns to have such a strong immune system but since it looked alright no anti biotics
