okay, so we all know that dream drop distance will have a "shocking ending" well i've come up with 2 theories both of which involve riku:

1. riku becomes a master, but starts leaning towards darkness and joins xehanort and in KH3 sora and riku will have to fight eachother

2. riku could turn out to be xehanorts son (this theory popped into my head wen playing thnrough birth by sleep cuz i always thought that the young xehanort and wen riku is talking about him to terra as "the only boy to have left the islands" or something like that and i think they may have been keeping riku in the dark about it)

reply back to this and tell me what you think of my theories :D

Okay, nice theory but those sound completely off.

1. I doubt Riku will lean towards the darkness since he is now able to control both Light and Darkness. Riku has gotten a lot more mature since the first KH game. So the chances of Riku falling again to darkness is slim. Especially since his little experience from KH1, and since Ansem SoD is no longer his source main source of using his darkness.

2. Nomura has confirmed that there are no family relations in KH series. So Riku is not Xehanort's son.

What KH125 said.

Add to number one that after KH1, Riku has working hard and sacrificing a lot to keep his friends safe. I doubt he would turn on them now.

KingdomHearts125 did a good job nut-shelling the situation.

1. Riku has already joined forces with Ansem, Maleficent and Co. Chances of Riku joining forces with bad guys again is very low.

2. Xehanort is somewhere between the age of 60 and 70 in Birth By Sleep. Riku is 4. Xehanort is not Riku's father.

Also, Riku being Xehanort's son wouldn't be much of a plot twist since family is pretty irrelevant in the KH Universe.
