After lower costs for 3ds .Nintendo has revealed it's second quarter earning for 2011.The results arn't good. With fall of DS and wii slaes also trying to support the launch of 3ds and preparing for the arrival of the wii u.During the last 3 months,Niotendo has lost 25.5 billion yen.Outside of Zelda:OOT and starfox 3d in japan they havn't had major releases for neither 3ds or wii.It will ofcourse change heading into second half of year with games like super mario 3ds.skyward sword and mario kart.

i am sorry but i think you wrote Niotendo instead of nintendo and yeah 3ds isnt going well,it seems their console isnt as succesfull as they have imagined

I hpe we still get those games when they are supposed to come.

I was thinking about that a few weeks ago. Nintendo hasn't released anything real in a while, it's all just minigame stuff.

Hell, I only use my 3DS to play my old DS games.

thanks. But should have guessed making systems 250$ with little to no games people won't buy it.Also wii being dead for most year dosn't help but Ninendo going to fine.

Who's Niotendo? I never heard of 'em. That's probably why they're doing so bad. And their name is so similar to "Nintendo", they had better hope they don't get their butts sued and lose some MORE money. :/

Well I bought the 3DS for KH3D and if the 3DS fails and no KH3D commin out im going to riot srsly im going to riot and if no one is going to riot im going to riot alone in the streets  .

The problem with nintendo is that they are trying to market rather...gimmicky products.

Look at the Wii, it's a great system don't get me wrong but the motion control is a lot different than they make it look. In commercials you see people flailing their arms all over the place, where in reality flicking your wrist produces a equal or greater effect.

Now look at the 3DS. "3D without glasses? Sign me up!" However the 3D makes your eyes tired, they don't hurt but after a while you feel like you've been reading a book for sometime. Most people I know who have the 3DS don't even use the 3D most of the time because it makes your eyes tired.

And now look at the Wii U, combining the very popular tablet technology with a game controller. Judging by Nintendo's recent products I will spend more time trying to use the buttons on that bulky thing rather than taking advantage of the touchscreen.

Point is, Nintendo products, as great as they are rely on hyping people to buy it because it's the first console with good motion control or the first console to have 3D that doesn't require glasses. While Nintendo rushes out new technology, Sony and Microsoft prefer to refine it and release it when it's ready. And that is why their sales are down. People realize that instead of buying the 3DS that makes your eyes tired, why not wait a few years and buy whatever the hell Sony and or Microsoft release that doesn't make your eyes tired.

Well, they've been spiriling downhill ever sence 1997.....when FFVII came out for the PS1. So Square Enix is kinda responsible for Nintendo's slow and painful demise.....

No it's not square enix fault,it's niotendo fault they lose 25.5 billion yen

So I converted the yen to dollars.

That's only like 300 million.

Yeah it's a big only, but it's not like they lost 25.5 billion dollars or something.

300 mil is more money than most companies.
