Who should finish off Master Xehanort?

Posted

tutti frutti. This idea popped into my head while talking to another member of the forum. I thank Vorian_Rob for giving me the idea. When the final fight with Master Xehanort comes, which one character would you want to be the one to do the final fight and finish off Master Xehanort for good? Even though Sora has been, a will continue to be, the main "hero" of the series. But if there was one character, if not Sora, to be in the final battle and put Master Xehanort then who? What are your opinions and why?

I am willing to place money on the fact that Vanitas delivers the final blow to Xehanort. Tetsuya Nomura has already claimed that he intends to continue the series past the Xehanort saga. This would require a Villain more powerful than Xehanort. We already know Vanitas is going to return, simply because they intend to ressurect Ventus. And since one can not exist without the other, reviving Ventus will revive Vanitas. Since Vanitas is the only person to date not to fall to Sora's Holy Purge of Anything Even Remotely Disgruntled, he is currently the only viable option. I expect Vanitas will deliver the final blow to Xehanort in an attempt to add Xehanort's power to his own.

How he will accomplish this I dont know yet. He may pose as a party member for a while, or maybe he will refuse with Ventus and become the dominant personality, or maybe he will just dive from the rafters and kill steal like a pro.

Actually, to be honest I like the Ventus theory the most. But, maybe he will refuse with Ventus, leaving Ven as the dominant personality, Ven will make the final blow, and then Vanitas will slowly take him over from the inside between games o.o

tutti frutti. For some oddball reason I want that theory with Vanitas killing MX to actually come true. It sounds like something that would actually happen in the series after the Xehanort Saga. Particularly since MX didn't really pay any attention, if not minimal attention, to Vanitas. And since Vanitas was willing to go against MX's orders to do what he wants, I can see him being the next major villain after the Xehanort Saga has subsided.

I always liked this idea especially since the idea of light and darkness being eternal couterparts has been drilled in our head since the beginning and vanitas is the fist one to pop into my mind. However one guy always creeps his way into the back of my mind when I think of a takeover villian...Briag. Everytime we get new info braig has consinstly gravitated towards a central role in the series wether as his somebody or nobody. As much as I would vanitas to take over I think braig would be much more interesting to the plot if he took over They could even have it to where in killing xeahnort he wins the allegiance of his keyblade.

Hmm, that would be interesting. And from there, we see what Braig's got up his sleeves.

I think it'd be most interesting if Sora saved Terra, Ventus, and Aqua, and at the very end, he couldn't single-handedly destroy Xehanort, so they all come together to do it.

tutti frutti. I could more so see Terra and Riku in particular in defeating Master Xehanort, mostly since those two have been possessed by MX at some point during the series. For villain-wise, I could see Braig (I guess for going through all that abuse) and Vanitas (being pure evil). Even though Nomura did state that Sora will remain the hero throughout the series, I want somebody else other than Sora to defeat MX.
