So King Kai said that only someone of pure good or pure evil could deflect the Spirit Bomb right? If that's true than how come when Goku threw the Spirit Bomb at Frieza he wasn't able to deflect it? Frieza is pure evil, there's no trace of good in him. He's pure evil, he laughs at the destruction of entire civilazations and planets. He even blew up Planet Vegeta and laughed as if he didn't even give a firetruck that he killed millions of innocent lives.

 

So why couldn't Frieza deflect the Spirit Bomb? Even Goku said he's "Pure Evil with no good in him". Could this possibly mean Frieza has some good in him? I doubt it.

it could just be that frieza wasn't strong enough to deflect it. I mean I know it's not the same but look at how much trouble kid buu had with deflecting it, again the spirit bomb fired at buu was ALOT stronger but still.

In my opinion no-one can be pure good or evil, because even the brightest light can not block out all of darkness, and darkness can not overcome even the smallest of light

I think Freeza as purely evil guy , but he isnt close of most evil villain of anime history.

No thats my take on the whole series. I even think Goku has darkness deep down inside him

I wanna just say that in my opnion more evil people is those who enjoy about slicing people or just wanna go war to kill other people. I could compare Frieza as evil dictator or something...

The spirit bomb can only be created by someone with a pure heart. wether it be pure evil or good. A Spirit Bomb that is created by a pure good person can not be deflected by a pure evil person, the two opposite energies cancel each other out and one engulfs the other. Frieza couldn't deflect the Spirit Bomb and the only way he survived was through his strength.
