Honestly, how long are they going to keep up this series?

Posted

I can't see the series continuing after Kingdom Hearts III. 1. Because Disney hates it. 2. Becasue I don't know what the story will be about. I mean really guys you think they can just make KH game after KH game and have Sora fight Jafar in Agrabah every game? And there aren't any new worlds for them to use. It's been 6 years since the last numbered title was released. Square hasn't even finished 1/10 of the game yet unless they've been hiding it's production from us.

Well give me you're opinion, how long do you think this series will last? It's not getting a lot of support from Disney and no Disney = No Kingdom Hearts.

Oh rite I ment after it.

I think they can keep the series going as long as they have fans who keep interest in the series. As much as I hate to think of it this way, they will probably keep the series going as long as they can make money off of it. I'm not saying I want kingdom hearts to go on forever, or that it will, but I don't think its ending any time soon. The "hardcore fans" (such as myself, and many of the people on this site) will keep up with the series for as long as the series is going, and even the not-so-dedicated fans seem to have a somewhat obsessive interest in the series while they are still interested. Also, the whole disney with square enix theme draws new fans in. Disney is pretty timeless, so the series has potential to last a very long time. Disney is constantly making new movies. Not only does that mean there will always be movies to base new worlds off of, but there will always be kids who grow up with disney. That means there will most likely be kids who would be interested in playing kingdom hearts. I'm pretty indifferent towards how long they should keep the series going. It could be a good or a bad thing if they keep the series going for a really long time.
