November 23, 201113 yr I just use Sony Vegas. It's legally free if you know how to do it properly. I have a question. How long will they let you use Sony Vegas for free?
November 24, 201113 yr sony vegas is awesome, but the preview screen makes my clips look like bad quality (when it renders it looks fine) but looking at the preview screen throws my editing off That's because the preview screen has different settings (Best, Good, Preview, Draft) that changes to help the program run smoother for you. But anyways as for programs I'm not sure about too many free ones except for the generic windows one. You could download trials of others and keep downloading each time a trial is used up but other than that I'm honestly not entirely sure.
November 24, 201113 yr I have a question. How long will they let you use Sony Vegas for free? 30 days, although you can easily just re install it and get another trial. Pretty basic stuff.
November 24, 201113 yr Author 30 days, although you can easily just re install it and get another trial. Pretty basic stuff. You do know you could go to jail for that right?
November 24, 201113 yr You do know you could go to jail for that right? Lol. I could so be rude right now. Lol. Where the firetruck is Space Cowboy? Lol. Kaiso basically said the same thing. It's 100% legal.

November 24, 201113 yr It's re-downloading a free trial period. If you re-download a trial period it's not illegal but if you hack the program it is. Also having other means and using a cracked version of the software to where you don't even use the trials is what's illegal. I have been video editing for years and I have researched into this myself since I was interested in the subject. If you really want to get better at videos then you need to either practice on windows movie maker and try and make the program work (which honestly it's always been a very buggy program imo) or consider saving up your money or look into using trials for whatever program you may find. Perhaps look at e-bay or amazon for a trustworthy and fairly priced old version of Sony Vegas? Look into something else to like Adobe After Effects or something. Black Friday is going to happen soon so maybe if you look for one in Best Buy or someplace you can find a fairly decent sale price of a copy of an editing software? A lot of the programs are going to be very expensive in general though. A lot of the fancier softwares aren't going to be free legally. Sora isn't really being rude, he's just stating his view on the matter... = But seriously though there are hardly any free programs for editing out there and out of all of them the best to use is probably going to be Windows Movie Maker. It isn't the best program out there overall yeah but if you want freeware it's about as good as it gets when it comes to video editing...
