In 1892 Van helsing had his dying wish to have his close friend cast a spell so his bloodline will reincarnate itself into certain children born, being reincarnated again and again if they die, in hopes of some of them realizing there ancestry. While some of Van helsing's descendants are killed by vampires or turned into ones before they even realize their potential, others who discover their super human strength, agility and the ability to sense vampires, become monster hunters and protect humans from the vampires, who's intentions are not yet clear. They also protect against other creatures who pose a threat to the humans, who are unknowing of the dangerous creatures out there (although I was kind of intending vampires to be the main antagonists). In This rp you can be either a descendant of Van helsing or any other creature, good or evil. (run the species by me though so I can approve it)

Rules:

•Basic rp rules, like no killing characters without permission etc.

•It is possible for you to turn someone's character into something, but you might want to prompt that your going to turn them so they can decide for themselves whether they wanna turn or not

•using storylines from other anime's/games is not reccomended as it can get confusing if you go off into your own story. But of course you are allowed to have your own background story

•you can have a very weak or powerful character, but you have to lose sometimes or there's no point.

•so that I know you've read the rules put your favorite color at the bottom of your sign up sheet

Sign up sheet:

Optional, voice actor/:

Once I see that there are actually people interested, I'll put up my own character bio. The first vampire character posted up here will have the option to be the leader of the vampires if they wish btw.

As Morgan approached the castle, she could see the same cloud that the strange lady disappeared in approaching her. At this point, she wasn't that surprised by things like this anymore. She remembered about what Atreyu said about her powers not yet being available, and that she should use the spell on the first page to awaken them. She still had doubts and decided to put this off until needed. Maybe if she was lucky, she wouldn't have to "awaken" as a witch, as she didn't know what would happen. She also thought it wise not to mention her encounter with Atreyu, or the book of shadows, to the woman she was approaching. She stopped when she was about 3 feet away from the cloud.

"Ok, what do you want?"

"The continuation of my race. Or at least, the true remnants of it." Olivier eyed Morgan quickly. Something about her had changed, that much was certain. "As well as the survival of your own. My clan is the last of the true vampires, and if the secrets we hold were to ever get into the hands of these new parasites, it would spell disaster for us all. Fortunately..." She paused, gathering the next words together in her mind.

"It seems the Helsing bloodline has been re-awakening lately. And while that may seem an unfortunate turn of events for my people, I am afraid the Helsing 'family' has never encountered a real vampire. The seperation between my people occured only a few hundred years before your Van Helsing was born into this world, and even fewer before I was. A large number of the old vampires were exterminated not only by the new generation, but by humans who saw this as an oppurtunity. My clan is all that remains after all of these centuries, rotting away in our castles and fortresses, almost afraid to go outside anymore. I need assurance that the new vampires can be wiped out without compromising all that I have worked for. And I need humans to help."

  • Author

"Ok, so what is it that I have to do to help your situation?" she asked bluntly.

The corner of Olivier's mouth twitched upward a little, almost as if smiling. "Once your power has truly awakened, If want you to guard one of the vampiric artifacts that my clan has been desperately trying to defend. And I know I can trust you, seeing as only vampires can harness their power." She never moved, her arms still folded across her stomach. "It is time for a change, and the world will see a new breed of vampire. One that it has not seen in centuries. And then, there can finally be peace between our races."

  • Author

"What's the point of helping you if vampires still get to exist? All I'd be doing is helping your specific vampire race, but you'd still be feeding on people wouldn't you?" Morgan asked again, trying to get out of this situation by stalling, although not knowing what stalling would do.

"We have found other ways to quench the Thirst." Olivier said with a flat tone, as if everyone knew such a fact. "The feral breed simply seeks the thrill of killing something. Preferably something they can terrify." She tilted her head forward ever-so slightly.

"And can you really say that my race has no right to live? That our freedoms and existance are some kind of plague to simply be eradicated? We are no different from your kind. We only want to survive."

  • Author

She became curious. "what other ways do you feed?" she wondered.

Olivier's face sagged, yet her features became sharper. "That is none of your concern. Will you help us or not?"

  • Author

"Why should I?" she tested. "you still havent given me a good reason, other than the survival of your race, which dowsnt matter to me. I could just walk away right now if I wanted to."

"Then go." Olivier turned her back to the girl. "I won't stop you. I will stop the insurrection myself. And if I do not success, both of our races will pay the price. I bid you farewell, Morgan la Fay." And with those words, Olivier slowly moved towards the double doors.

  • Author

"...wait." she said hoping she would stop. "I'll... I'll help you. But I have to do something first and I can't have you watching. Is there a place I can do something in private? I'll be quick."

Olivier turned back around, a wide grin crossing her face. "Inside. The first left hall, second door on the right. I will wait for you in the entrance hall." And with that, the vampire vanished in the air.

"Ok..." she said to herself. She walked into the castle, and was awed by the view. Aside from the creepiness of it all, this was a pretty cool castle. She followed the woman's directions and came to a room. She closed the door behind her and sat down at a table and took out the small book. Morgan was scared that if she awakened her powers, she'd become evil. Like she'd be as selfish and rude as Atreyu was, turning that poor woman into a dog. But if it meant saving humans as we know it, what harm would it do anyways?

"Ok, how did he do this..." she waved her hand over the book, and it grew into the large book it once was.

"Whoa!" she said, grasping the book, trying not to drop it. Morgan placed the book on the table she was sitting at and glanced at the very old book, the pages were crinkly and yellow from the aging, the black leather dryer up. But her just holding it brought a sense of wisdom. She opened to the first page.

"It's all in Latin..." she said to herself. She looked up at the ceiling. "Thanks a lot Atreyu! I can really use this!" she glanced down at the book. The letters started to turn into English words, eventually the whole page being translated, the title reading "Power invoking spell"

"Oh." she said in a surprised manner. "Hmmm, guess this is the spell." she glanced at it. "So what, do I just say it out loud?" she said the spell very fast, and nothing happened. "What the heck, why didn't it work?" she said irritated. Morgan closed her eyes. "I guess I have to concentrate." she took a deep breath and opened her eyes to read the spell again slower than she did before:

"Power of the witches rise,

Course unseen across the skies,

Come to me I call you near,

Come to me and settle here"

As soon as she finished the spell, she could hear a ringing noise, and bright orbs of light came through the window and merged with Morgan. As soon as the light disappeared... It seemed like nothing happened.

"I don't feel different..." she said quietly, "I don't think I turned evil either, so that's good." she said to herself trying not to jinx it. She waved her hand over the book again, shrinking it and putting it back in her pocket. She stood up. "Ok, so, do I get powers now or something?" (btw I've changed her powers sorry I decided to use a power I used with a previous character I thought it was cool. It's a surprise though, except for rikunobody, who already knows, but don't give it away) She stood up, and looked at her hands "ummm..." she pointed at a vase. "Fire!" she shouted. Nothing happened.

"Well that was embarrassing." she laughed. The. She sighed. "Guess I'll find what it is later." She turned towards the door and headed to the entrance hall.

The wave of power that slashed through the air was followed with the girl's arrival into the entrance hall. It seemed she had just awakened. Nevertheless, a new witch was better than no witch.

"Come." Olivier turned, implying that Morgan follow her. After traveling through the dank corridors of the underground halls, they arrived at the large doors Olivier had opened earlier. She turned to Morgan, the mural behind her. "This mural depicts the creation of my race as it is today." She gestured to the winged figures overhead. "These creatures are what made us what we are. Their names have been lost to history, but it is evident that there was a great war between our races. The vampires had no chance of winning, so they didn't. They sealed their enemies away in another dimension, but not before they were cursed by the foes they so desperately banished." Olivier turned back to the doors, the stone constructs opening on their own. "That curse was the Thirst. From that day on, vampires were damned to consume blood for survival. However, this curse came with the Dark Gift, amplifying our existing abilities. Come." The vampire stepped into the darkness, a deep fog pouring out of the doors.

"So you fed on humans right? At least in the beginning." Although Morgan had an idea of how much danger she was in, she always wanted to know more.

"Guess that's from my witchly side" she thought.

She was also clumsy, accidentally knocking over a vase as they walked.

The vase let out a hiss, blue smoke dissapating from the inside. "Please do not touch anything." Olivier said with a tinge of annoyance. "Those are... were... the remains of Rahab." She let out a shallow sigh. "Please be careful in here."

They continued through the dark room, Olivier carefully taking a box with both hands. She turned to Morgan, holding the box close. "This is a very precious and powerful artifact." The gilded box shone in the little light that was available, the visage of fanged faces screaming in agony on all sides. The box itself was a little bigger than Morgan's clenched fist. "Within this box lies the black heart of Janos Audron, one of the most powerful vampires to have ever lived.Legends say that it holds the power to gift vampiric unlife. There are even rumors that it was used to revive the vampire Kain, although there is no historical account of this." She quickly glanced to the side before continuing. "If this were to fall into the wrong hands, you can imagine the mayhem that would unfold. And feel free to bring this to your Helsing friends; only vampires have access to its power." She carefully handed the box to Morgan.

"And whatever you do, do not open the box. It is sealed with a perception filter spell. The moment you open the lid, the spell will be broken and its prescence will be known to anyone able to sense it."

"ok, will do." She told her. Morgan took the box and placed it in her bag. "Hey you said there were others like you. Are they in the castle?"

"Some are. The others are scattered across the world. It is best to keep our numbers dispersed, if you understand. Come with me." Olivier motioned to Morgan, the two exiting the crypt. She stopped at the top of the steps to the entrance hall. "I now leave your decisions to you. Keep the heart close; never allow it to fall into vampire hands. It would be ideal if the Helsings took it, though." She added this as if it were an afterthought.

"In fact, I would like to apeal to the Helsing organization, if there is one. I believe they would be a great asset in this conflict. Please inform them of my wishes the next time you encounter them."

"I don't think I've met another Helsing yet, and I don't plan to. I don't want to be involved in any of this confusing stuff, so if I find a Helsing, I'll be sure to give it to them, and then I'm gone. I have a life you know." Morgan said irritatedly. She didn't want any of this to happen to her, she just wanted to go back to a normal life. Although something told her that at least for a long time, that wasn't going to happen.

Bran and John tracked down a low ranking vampire to a run down section of town. They had gone looking on Bran's suggestion that they find someone to pump some info out of. This was more feral than the more powerful vampire, but that just meant that he had no back up. As the vampire stalked his prey, the two Helsings jumped from an alley and dragged the vampire back. John drove a steak down into the vampires collar bone. The two Helsings threw the vampire down. Both stepped back and drew there pistols.

"Care to talk?" Bran said, then shot one of the vampire's knees.

"Very well then. I will leave you to your 'life'. I have business to attend to as well." Olivier turned away, vanishing as she did so. Morgan was left in the near-barren vestibule, the gilded box in her hands.

Olivier reappeared atop the castle, looking over the city that lay before her. Assuming she could contact the Helsings, the ensuing conflict would be much easier. These new vampires had to be stopped, and she possessed just the weapon to do such a thing. The only thing that worried her was the idea that those parasites may force their way into the castle, ravaging the crypt below. Stealing the artifacts within, and using them to demolish anyone who opposed them.

She closed her eyes, trying to remember the years that had long passed again. She could make out vague images; the castle, the group of humans she once called her family, and the vampires that took her from them. The problem was that none of that meant anything to her. At least, not anymore. This was the world she lived in now. These were the problems she was facing, and it was her duty to ensure the survival of the true vampires.

(hey just wondering ansem the wise are u gonna be portraying other vampires in your clan?)

"Ok, time to get out of this place. She followed the way put of the castle and was back on the sidewalk again.

"I'm kinda interested in what's inside the 'book of shadows' I think I'm gonna do some reading." she turned to the direction of her house and headed down on the sidewalk.

OOC: I was thinking maybe a few smaller ones, but I was thinking about leading the New Vampires as well... I've got nothing else to post right now...
