Ethan choked as he went along the magic hot spot. He could sense humans but for all he knew they could be dead or in the middle of transforming. Still he felt the need to check it out. He creped into one of the houses where he could sense them but saw nothing. Looking around, he found a small trapdoor, leading to some place unknown. Ethan groaned, since becoming part bird, he detested the time when he was underground.

Still he floated down the trapdoor, until his talons touched solid ground. As he was looking around, his eyes caught a wooden object, as in literally, caught the wooden bat which sent him flying against a brick wall, enabling him unconscious.

"Well, nice to meet you two. Im Miki." She said. She rubbed her hands together. "Let's get this show on the road." She said and jumped a good six feet into the air, leaving a cloud of dust under her, and opened her wings out. She hovered and looked down at them. "Onward!" She said and waited for them to start driving again. Did i just make new friends?, she thought

Shawn chuckled.

"If you ever get tired, Miki, give us a sign and we'll pick you up!" he yelled after her.

He turned and got back into the truck.

"You good with this?" he asked Skye.

Skye snapped out of her deep thought and nodded.

" Ya, im in no place to tell people if they can help or not." Skye climbed back into the passenger seat and picked up the map again.

" We are almost there." She said looking at the map tracing the route lightly with her index finger.

Miki followed the truck from above. After a few minutes of traveling she saw something. Is this the plsce, she thought as she started to dive down next to the truck. This is the closest that i've ever been to the ground, she thought and looked through the window. "Is that the place?" She said pointing ahead.

Shawn stopped the truck and turned it off.

"Yep." he said. "That's it."

He got out of the truck, grabbing his back pack, stocked with a first-aid kit, extra bandages and pain killers. It also had some high protein bars and a canteen of water. He also stuck his hatchet and a crowbar on his belt in case he needed to get in some where. Skye had her pistols, so he didn't bother getting his shotgun out.

"Okay, game plan. We walk in and look around. People we find, we send here to the truck. I'll come back her with the first of 'em to start treatment on people who need it."

Miki landed and folded her wings in. "Okay." She said and looked around. I wonder if there will be any trouble we'll run into, she thought, yet again, i'm not looking foward to a fight anyways. "Alrighty then." Miki said, not wanting to waste any time. "We shall be on our way." And she started walking

Skye hopped out of the truck and checked the ammo in pistols. The town looked run down and almost empty.

" Are they sure there was signs of a hotspot here?" She wondered quietly and she began to walk through the town. Everything was silent, like if there were people, that they were hiding from something.

Miki had the urge to shout 'hello' to see if it would produce an echo, but she didn't. "Why is there something strangely off about this place? There's nobody here" she said. I may want to summon my scythe, she thought, but it doesn't seem like the right moment yet. Regardless, Miki stayed on gaurd and waited to probably expect the worse.

Shawn walked down the main street into town, keeping an eye out for any signs of life. He felt a cold lump form in his throat as he continued to find none. He finally stopped in the middle of a big intersection.

"Hello!" he yelled. "We're from an Aid Station. We are here to help."

All that answered his yell was the echo it created. Shawn could help but remember some old ghost stories his uncle told him to scare him when he was young. They hadn't scared him then, but now they were having better luck. He turned and looked at Skye and Miki.

"Okay, let's check the major public buildings. Hospital, Police Station, Fire Station. Where ever people would go."

He turned to continue on, but stopped after only a few steps. He turned back to the two girls with a sheepish grin.

"Let's stick together for now, huh?"

OOC: Riku, do you want to create the villain for this arc. I can't really do anything until he's created but it's your RP, so I thought might want to.

Skye rolled her eyes a little.

" Sure sure you big baby." She saw a sign for a hospital and pointed it out.

" Hey this way." She was hoping this isn't where all the people had ended up. She hated hospitals.

Miki laughed a little. They all walked into the hospital that Skye pointed out. It was all dark and quiet. "Great." She mummbled and held out her palm. A small ball of magenta colored fire appeared in it and the room lit up a bit. "All better." She said and turned to the others. "Im guessing there's nobody here--" she trailed off and something fell to the floor. "What was that??"

(OOC: I can create a villain if needed. If you want a shot at the job though, it's yours.)

Shawn heard the something falling as well. He listened carefully, but heard nothing more. He didn't find that reassuring.

"Best check it out." He said.

He thought a moment, remembering where the sound came from.

"Operating room down the hall."

He took up the lead, heading toward the source of the sound.

OOC: Alright. I'll try.

Ethan awoke, groggily to see a rat faced man. Literally, a man with the face of a rat. He bared his two large front teeth, menacingly, at Ethan when he saw the young man had awoken. Ethan rolled his eyes and tried to move his arms. They weren't tied up, but Ethan seemed to be under a heavy sedative that enabled him to move any part of his body that wasn't on his face. "Shut up Aaron." He cried, when the rat faced man growled again. "Where's Darius? What are you two doing here?"

Shawn made his way toward the operating room he had heard the dropping sound come from. As he moved closer, he heard voices. One sounded like a normal human, but another sounded off. Some of the words were said oddly, like the speaker didn't have a human-like mouth and/or teeth.

Shawn grimaced. The tones of the voices didn't seem to indicate a nice, pleasant conversation. He looked back at Skye and Miki. He held up a hand for them to move quietly. He then held up two fingers for the two voices he had heard. He then pulled out his hatched and continue toward the voices.

Skye nodded to show she understood and carefully watched her steps making sure they were silent. She came up right behind Shawn with a pistol in her hands. She wasn't taking any chances with this one. She listened to the voices. One of them human..... the other, it was almost more like a low growl than a voice. She tried to listen to their converstation. She was able to pick up two names, Aaron and Darius. She gave Shawn a questioning look.

Aaron moved his tongue inside of his mouth in the most unsettling way possible as he tried to speak. "Me and Darius get stronger. Get more...things. People...mutants...like me. Me and Darius rule them. Invade...places...get things...nice things...money. Me need to kill you...you try to stop us. Darius...warn me." Ethan could tell by how much he was able to communicate that Aaron was excited.

Ethan could just about put two and two together, it explained why Aaron and Darius were moving around so much, he had thought they were just running away from him but they were most probably waiting and searching for a magical hotspot to come alive. After that, Darius could get all the strength he needed from the hotspot. This couldn't get any worse.

Aaron's beady eyes never left Ethan. He saw him thinking. He remembered the time when he could think. But now he couldn't. He envied Ethan. He hated him for chasing him and his master. When someone had hatred they needed revenge. They needed to kill. Aaron pulled a small blade out of his trouser pocket. It was stained with blood, although that was probably his own, his eyes were full of blood lust. He moved closer to Ethan, muttering unintelligible sounds.

Ethan cursed. Was he actually going to be killed by this idiot?!

Miki cut off the ball of fire she was holding so they wouldn't be noticed. everything went pitch black. She could hear voices. They sound like they're not hurt, she thought, but the question is, are they a threat. She looked over to where Skye and Shawn was, well, where she last saw them standing, but it was too dark to see them. Miki turned off the music in her headphones and waited

(sorry school work)

Shawn frowned at what he was hearing. This had to stop. He looked at Skye and Miki.

"I'm going in." he said, using his sonic magic to make it so only Skye and Miki could here him.

He went to the door and gave it a kick that bashed it open. He whistled at a high pitch to effect the mutants advanced ears, giving them splitting headaches. He shoved the one with the knife to the floor before stopping his whistling.

Just as Aaron was about to slit Ethan's throat, a high-pitched whistling stopped him. He dropped the knife which Ethan was able to catch with his talon. Aaron was staggering backwards in pain. "Sonic magic...?" Ethan thought, it seemed that one of the bonuses of this paralyse was that he couldn't feel pain. His mind registered the whistle but his body couldn't feel it. Strange... A mage, probably the caster of the sonic magic, burst onto the scene tackling Aaron to the ground. His whistling stopped and everything grew silent for a moment.

Shawn ran over to Ethan and gave him a quick look over to check for obvious wounds. After the check, he put himself between the two kidnappers and Ethan, his hatched out front.

"Care to explain?" he nearly growled.

Ethan grimaced. He had been hoping his savoir would have been a street dweller just out to do the right thing sometimes like he was. This guy was obviously some sort of agent. A person using magic to stop other people who misuse their new abilities. Ethan knew that he ranked high enough on the list of criminals, despite his good deeds that he was going to get brought along for the ride when this guy arrested Aaron. So...

"We were just practising for a play, sir." Ethan quickly blurted out, afterwards using a very choice few words to describe his intelligence.

Shawn gave Ethan a dirty look.

"Don't lie, bub." he said. "There isn't anyone here to do a play. You're also in the middle of a freaking magical hot spot, or has that fired your pea brains? I don't know why you're here, and I don't give a crap."

He turned his glare toward Aaron and Darius.

"What I do care is that I was sent here to help the people of this town. Seeing as there is a surprising lack of people, and you two seem to have a screw lose, I either suggest you start explaining or running like hell. Your choice."
