In terms of natural ability,weilding skill, acomplishments, and what we have seen in the trailer inlcuding the fact that up unitl now have they pretty much have had no formal training. Can we consider them them to have masters of the keyblade by now(inspired by a gamespot thread)

I think they've made a point to show that Sora and Riku will always be on equal terms if one pulls ahead the something happens that catches the other up.(I believe this to be an important point but thats another theory) I'm not sure what role kairi will play but nomura wouldnot have made aqua her successor withou reason.

Terra got his body taken over by an old guy, Ventus got the crap beaten out of him by a girl who later got herself stuck in a world full of darkness.

Well.....that is also another way to look at it.

Sora has surpassed Ventus and Terra. No doubt. He has to become a master before he can surpass Aqua.

In fairness of opinion I question that, aqua's and terra's exam was traditional as stated by Master Xehanort in his letter to Eraqus. Now the only reason Terra did not pass the exam was that Xehanort awakened the darkness inside of him causing it to manifest during the exam. With that being said only aqua passed the exam because Eraqus blinded by his own hatred of darkness caused Terra not to pass(Terra has the power of a full master just not the tilte). The way I see the only skill that aqua has on anyone is her powerful magical abilities.

Actually Ventus had to fight himself. He knew he was going to fall in the state he was in. But to save his friends, he did it. He actually asked Aqua and Terra to put a end to him to make sure he would not hurt anybody. And in terms of fighting skills, Sora combined his heart with Ven's. So they are on the same level really.

 

When it comes to Terra, he had to fight a very strong Master. Master Xeahnort is more powerful than Ansem really. Especially since he had years of experience. Now it was foolish to believe Master Xeahnort, any person could be tricked like that. He was able to fight back slightly when Aqua first fought Terra-nort back at Radiant Garden. Riku may have been able to get free when he was controlled, but Master Xeahnort did it with more strength, and at the fact that he released his own heart. So that could have something to do with it.

Eighter way, Riku was still be able to fight back and become free. So they could be equal at this point.

 

With Aqua, she was able to become a actual Keyblade Master. Not only that, she was able to sacrifice herself to save her dear friend Terra. She may have ended up in the Realm of Darkness, but she is still alive. She lasted over ten years living in darkness relying on utter skill to survive. She fought heartless which she never encountered before. Not only that, she was able to fight Red Eyes {forgot the name} and won. In Black Points, she was still walking around. {haters gonna hate}

So really it is debatable but I think everyone is on the same page really.
