For a long time, in a secret laboratory in Area 51, the government has been testing mysterious creatures that have powers behind belief. Though the creatures may not even be so odd. They could be teenagers in high school! And that's what they have done ever since they've had technology. The rare kids that can gain mutational powers from DNA loss. Then their lives change forever ... they're immediately transported to Area 51 to be tested and, if possible, killed during experiments. Though teens have escaped the horrid place and spreaded all over the world in fear of being captured. In one town there are more then one hiding in absolute terror that the government might find and bring them back to Area 51. That's why they have made the M.U.T.A.N.T for support of other mutants that have escaped and crush the government from testing on them again.

Ad looked down for a minute then shook her head.

" You shouldn't go asking questions like that Maggie." She said now haunted by memeories of the lab. She shivered and wrapped her arms around herself. Ada's mind drifted back to her life at the lab full of tests always forced to cause illusions they wanted. She rememebred sometimes being so tired and hungry she would collapse mid- illusion. She pushed the memories to the back of her mind and looked from Chase to Lucas to see if they would agree with her.

Chase saw how bad Ada looked like she didn't like reliving the past. Chase put his hand on her shoulder and looked down to her. "Yeah, maybe some other time we'll answer but not right now, its just... too soon" Chase said looking down at Ada "you going to be okay?" Chase asked her hoping she'd be alright. He didn't like reliving his past so he knew she felt the same way.

Lucas was staring blankly at the wall, remembering when he got his powers, and the lab. "I was 9, i got bullied alot when i was young, one day, i just snapped, i launched an energy blast at the guy picking on me and sent him through a wall, i never saw that coming, a couple years later, these government lackies come to my house, i recognized 1 as the father of the guy i blasted through a wall, but they demanded my parents hand me over, they refused, and those lackies killed them, they knocked me out, next thing i know, i'm powering their machinery and weapons for 3 years until i escape, i launched an energy blast at one of the guys that killed my parents, he was with the other guys that came for me as well, that idiot ducked, and the blast hit some explosive containers behind him, i got knocked back by the shockwave, but those guys never got back up, i can't say i'm sorry for them, because i'd be lying, i don't kill intentionally, only by mistake, my parents last words were, 'don't let anger and revenge rule your life'." said Lucas. Lucas then looked towards Ada and Chase. "Forgive me for metioning it, but it won't matter for me, the majority of those guys are hunting me anyway......i'll just, head out and search the area." said Lucas as he left the building, as he did, his energetic personality seemed to have vanished, and been replaced with depression.

Ada glanced up and Chase then back down at her feet.

" I'll be fine." She said quietly smoothing out her skirt.

" Now about the food situation." She said trying to change the subject back to something more porductive.

" We can make a plan after we get some food. I wonder if this place has a kitchen. It seemsa like it used to be some sort of office its likely to have something." She said stepping out of the office room and back out into the hallway.

"Yeah its got one, and I'll go but I would rather not go alone, so if anyone wants to come along you're welcome to, its just not safe to go out alone, we should all follow the buddy system, which means groups of 2. So he's apart of my team?"chase asked as he grabbed the money and got ready to head out. HE pulled his hat further down to hide it, He then put on some sunglasses he found in the kitchenette and put them on so he could blend in better.

Wesley gave a two fingered salute.

"I got your back." he said to Chase.

Wesley adjusted his hat a little to fit it better on his head.

"Thanks for the hat, Maggie."

Wesley had thought of and dismissed the idea of telling how he got his powers. Lot's of dark memories there.

maggie was confused like most of the time.your welcome wesley but with the 2 people team it won't work there are 5 of us five won't split evenly maggie said.so one of the teams will have 3 and the other 2 she whispered.maggie began thinking.maggie walked out of the room.lets hope lucas doesn't get into trouble with some person on the street she whispered.maggie looked out a broken window corvered in mold.who knows with alittle work we could turn this into a mutant apartment i mean once we aren't being tracked down she thought.

"well how bout we take in Ada and you and Lucas can be a team?" Chase said "Or you can have Ada with Lucas, or whatever, who Ada, where do you want to go, which group?" Chase asked looking at her wondering who she'd pick. Chase adjusted his hat and shades and waited as he fiddled with the money in his hands and counted it, they would have enough for groceries

Ada thought for a moment then looked up at Chase.

" I'll join whatever group feels they need me the most i suppose." She shrugged not wanting to have to choose between the two.

" Of course i could just go on my own, id be fine." She said also considering having to hear everyone's thoughts all the time.

"You aren't going alone. you need a group, it isn't safe for us to be alone. Safety in numbers so yeah how bout you just go with us." Chase said admiring the courage to be alone. Chase looked at her. "We'll let you hold the money" Chase said as he made sunglasses out of a bead and handed them to her. "You'll probably need this, help you stay hidden." Chase said

Lucas was sitting on top of the building the others were in. he pulled out a small tin whistle he carried with him and started playing the braveheart theme, which could be heard inside the building, seeing as the windows were either board, or shattered. 'Why must i be the only mutant out there, who will never find a team, or any friends for that matter......the hatred for the government courses through my veins like venom.' thought Lucas.

so if we do teams it's going to be me and lucas she said.maggie was being carefull for if lucas was in the attic again.i'm going to see if lucas is in the attic maggie said walking down the broken stairs.she stoped and smiled.didn't he say something about going outside she whispered.maggie started walking for the hallway again.might as well let him be maggie said.

"Besides, with a power like that, Ada, I'd want you on my team." Wesley said, managing a jovial tone and smile. "Alright, next we need to plan what we are buying. If we got appliances, we can get pretty much whatever. If not, something we can keep stored out in the open would be best. That means canned items mainly."

Ada sighed and decided to just go along with it.

" Well i know there is an old fridge and oven but i have no idea if they work or not." She offered gesturing toward the small kitchen in the room behind her.

" As for what food we should buy, not too much we have no idea if we will need to leave this building quickly incase of emergency." Ada slipped the sunglasses on her eyes adjusting to her now darker vision.

Wesley considered what Ada said for a second then nodded.

"Good idea." he said. "Best keep it light. Speaking of which, let's focus on healthy food. No junk food."

Wesley moved to the front door and peaked out.

"This way or out the back?"

"It'd be to suspicious if we went out back and someone may see and call the cops so may as well go out the front." Chase said opening the front door and holding it open waiting for the others to come. "Also I checked out the fridge and stove and they both work, and if not like if wiring is bad I can fix it up just fine" Chase said adjusting his hat and waiting for the others

"Alright." Wesley said, taking in a deep breath and then slowly letting it back out. "Let's do this."

Wesley stepped outside of the mutant's new home and darted a glance to the besting hiding places for someone to be watching the house. Seeing no one, Wesley moved to the side walk and started towards the super market he saw earlier in his wanderings.

Ada followed Wesley out of the building and looked around. She pulled the money out of her pocket and counted it.

" We should have enough money for a weeks worth of food. I say we get 3 days worth." She said walking beside Wesley down the sidewalk. She glanced around the streets were starting to empty out with the come of evening.

" We should also get some blankets." She mummbled wrapping her arms around herself as her thin shirt did nothing to keep her warm.

Wesley stopped walking and closed his eyes.

"You're right, Ada." He said.

He opened his eyes and took in a deep breath.

"We should have considered that to begin with."

He started moving again.

"What else do we need? Should we get some plates, forks, spoons and the like too?"

" Hmmm." Ada thought for a minute and looked back down at the money.

" With plastic forks and paper plates, mayube cups too-" She suddenly stopped talking her eyes widening.

" They were waiting for us." She whispered her face turning ghostly white.

" They knew where we were they just waited." Ada squeaked dropping the money.

Wesley's mind went into high gear. He was trying to watch all directions at once.

"What do you see?" he asked, a frantic edge to his voice. "Is it the government? Who's after us?"

Wesley's chest started to harden as his mind went into battle mood.
