After the overwhelming popularity of the idea, I'm starting this rp. Remember, this takes place in the modern time. So people won't be very happy if you draw your weapon in public. Be careful. Also, this was an important question, and I'll answer. You can talk to your Inhabiter whenever you want. And I have to have Sephiroth as my enemy. Sorry, Azure Flame xD

Joy sat in the cafe, drinking his coffee slowly. He couldn't believe all of it was real. Final Fantasy, everything. And why Cloud chose him was boyone his understanding. After all, in the games, he was the cool dude. Still, having the Buster Sword was pretty cool. He finished his coffee and walked out slowly. He put his hands in his pockets and tried to imitate Cloud's expression, but he burst out laughing, causing to people around him to look at him. Oh, if only they knew.

(Aw, darn. You could have messaged me and talked to me about it, and I would've been happy to make it work out. But next time you get an idea like that, feel free to message me. http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/happy.png)

(Yeah, sorry about that xP)

(So, just to check, Mariah is currently riding on Zodiark with August and James, now back under Sephiroth's control, is flying away? Does this mean that the meteor is gone or just that it isn't being accelerated?)

(Mariah is on Bahamut with Chuck, who has James's arm with the Black Materia. James, under Sephiroth's control, has Jenova and is fleeing. Chuck, having an inhabitor from FF8, not 7, can't use the Materia to stop the Meteor, so one of the FF7 characters will have to take the Matera from the arm and use it to stop the Meteor.)

(Mariah actually was on Zodiark, because it caught her after she jumped off of Bahamut, but I've worked this out so that it makes sense for her to get caught by Chuck. :))

Mariah looked on in shock as James cut off his own arm. The psychological impact she took from the sickening sight and the agonized scream that followed caused Mariah to lose her footing and slip off of August’s summon. She began falling, too stunned to even cry out, and came back to her senses when Chuck caught her. She turned her eyes to James, who was holding what was left of his arm as he flew away, then looked at the direction in which Chuck was guiding Bahamut, and figured out what Chuck was trying to do. She felt sick and squeezed her eyes shut, not wanting to see the severed arm. She couldn’t get the image of what James had done to himself out of her mind, but then she realized that, as horrible as it was, it must be a good thing. James was winning against Sephiroth.

(Oh, missed that part sorry)

Chuck held out the arm for her. "Here, it's got the Black Materia in it." he said. "I can't take it out because it's from a different FF game, so you'll have to take it out and use it to stop the Meteor."

Mariah opened her eyes and kept them on Chuck’s face, refusing to look at what he was holding. The color drained from her own face at the thought of touching the severed arm, and she started to feel light-headed, but she forced herself to remain stable this time.

“Just block it out,” Tifa advised her gently. “And remember why you have to do this.”

She did remember. To save the world. If she let something as little as a churning stomach be the fall of mankind, it would simply be unforgivable.

“Okay, but afterward, we’re getting James’s...arm back to him,” she said to Chuck resolutely. “See if it can’t be sewn back on or whatever.”

She took a deep breath, closed her eyes again, and reached for the arm, doing her best not to think about exactly what she was doing. To her relief, she didn’t feel the arm at all--instead, it was like her hand was wrapped in a warm plasma as it retrieved the Materia. Through her closed lids, she could see a bright glow. She took her hand out, opened her eyes once more, and looked at the black orb in her hand. The next thing she had to do was call off the meteor, but she could feel the incredible power radiating from the Materia, and knew that her will alone wouldn’t be strong enough to manipulate it. She turned to face Joy. “I’m going to need your help,” she told him, holding out the hand that held the Black Materia so that Joy could place his over it. “Sephiroth was strong enough to use this on his own, but we’ll need to combine our strength if we want to call the meteor off.”

"That's the least of our problems." he said. "And by the time we find James and get his arm back to him, it'll be too late. This arm will be unreattachable."

Mariah didn’t outwardly acknowledge Chuck’s response, but she realized he was right. All those who had Inhabitors were able to heal much faster than normal humans, and considering how powerful Sephiroth was, the stump that James had left would probably heal in a matter of minutes, and indeed, his arm couldn’t be reattached in that case. She wondered what Chuck planned to do with the now useless arm, then decided not to think about it. Whatever his plan was, and she figured it would probably be just to toss the arm away from thousands of feet in the air, she wouldn’t be watching.

Of course, that was the least of their problems at the moment, as Chuck also had said. She kept her hand outstretched toward Joy, waiting for him to accept it, and wondered if they may even need Marcus’s (or, more specifically, Vincent’s) help with using the Black Materia. Maybe...or maybe just the two of them would be strong enough. After all, Cloud was infused with Mako energy, which made his own strength superhuman, even if he couldn't take physical form in this world.

(Actually I was referring to the fact that a limb has at least 4 days if properly cooled to be reattached. After that, the limb is no good and pretty much dead)

(Ah, I see. Darn my lack of knowledge on such subjects. xP *edited*)

(It's okay, what you said works too)

(Oh, should I re-edit my post then? Or else I could make Mariah persuade the others to somehow get the arm cooled, maybe with Vaan's power, and then follow James and get it back to him before the four days are up...but at this point I'm guessing you don't want James to get his arm back? :P)

(I have my own way, and it's up to you if you want to edit)

(Cool, I'm excited to find out what it is! I'll opt not to re-edit.)

(EDIT: Just kidding, I decided that I will re-edit. xD)

(Okay, now we've just got to wait for Number XV and Damion Strife so we can continue the story. :) )

(Hey guys! (: We haven't moved yet so I am still able to be in this Roleplay again. Number XV said I could join again. But I'm a bit confused so I've been trying to go back and read. Can anyone give me a summary please?)

(Okay, so shortly after you left, James used the Black Materia and summoned a meteor to destroy the planet, then Mariah, James, Chuck, and Scardigne fought him at the TV station. Joy and Livia were also in a battle and ended up at the TV station, and then Number XV introduced Calder, Inhabited by Tidus from FFX, who helped Joy fight Livia. In all the confusion, James left the scene, and then Scardigne turned on Mariah, and Chuck helped her fight him, and they ended up killing him. Then Livia left and Chuck, Joy, Calder, and Mariah went to catch up with Marcus and August.

Meanwhile, August and Marcus retrieved Jenova, and I introduced Jared, Inhabited by Sazh from FFXIII, who was flying their jet. They had a brief confrontation with Cain, and afterward Cain found James and tried to get him to work with him, but James refused, and Cain left. August and Marcus found James, Marcus shot Jenova’s head, and James started fighting them. Then Jared, Joy, Calder, Chuck, and Mariah showed up and started fighting James as well. During this time, James started to have a change of heart and his will won over Sephiroth’s for a little bit, and James took the opportunity to cut off his own arm, which had the Black Materia inside it, then he left. Chuck caught the arm and Mariah got the materia out of it, and now she needs Joy’s, and maybe Marcus’s, help to use it to stop the meteor. Oh, and by the way, this all is taking place in mid-air. Haha! So...yeah, I hope I didn’t leave anything too important out. I’m mostly doing this summary by memory, so of course anyone else can feel free to chime in if I missed something or got anything wrong.

Glad to see you back, JesusFreak! :)

EDIT: Oops, already found a mistake...I said James instead of Chuck. xP)

(And Paul and Victoria are on their way back to town. Paul's sister died at the hospital and asked for Victoria to take care of Paul. Paul sister's name was Aria Jackson. Victoria's sister, Aria Hope, is on the rise to becoming better than Paul and Victoria and just did a concert that got onto every electonic device in the world. And so Aria Hope is in New York City and Paul and Victoria are traveling back to town from North Dakota.)

Joy nodded. "If it's the only way." He then reached out his arm. "Ok, so I'm new...to this. To admit it, I've never actually played Final Fantasy VII." Joy was embarrased to admit this. "Ok, can you, uh, help me?" He finally was starting to realize his feelings for Mariah. He looked at her face, and she never seemed more beautiful. He heard Cloud cough in his mind. We don't have all day for you to have an emotional moment and let the world get destroyed.

Mariah blushed and sheepishly looked down from Joy’s intent gaze, wondering what he was thinking. She wanted to ask, but also knew that right now she needed to focus on the task they had to complete. Smiling, she looked back up at him, took his hand and placed it between both of hers, then stepped closer to him. “Of course,” she said softly. “We’re doing this together. Are you ready?”

Joy nodded. "I'm ready whenever you are." He then heard Cloud's voice. Ok. Great. So, after this how do we stop Sephiroth? We kill James? JOy shook his head, and realized it must have looked wierd. So he told Mariah about his conversation with Cloud. "How can we stop James? I really don't want to kill him. It's not fair he's being taken control of by Sephiroth. I mean, he did cut of his arm for us."

Mariah’s thoughts wandered to James, and the image of him mutilating himself that she wished she could forget. “I don’t know,” she responded, her voice distant. “But I think Sephiroth may be losing. It might ultimately be up to James to win over him in a battle of wills. I just hope he can, so that we don’t have to...” Mariah shook her head to clear it. “Anyway, let’s call off that meteor.” She closed her eyes and began commanding the materia with her mind. It took so much mental effort, and reminded her of trying to change a nightmare into something pleasant after realizing she was dreaming--sometimes it worked, and sometimes it didn’t. But this had to work. She kept all her focus on the Black Materia, gripping it tighter, willing it to stop the meteor.

Joy tried hard. Hwe imagined the meteor stopping. They had to stop it, they just had to. The fate of the world rest on it. He put all his power into it. Please, please, work. And then he heard Cloud's voice. I guess I could lend you some of my power to help you. Joy nodded. Thanks, Cloud. And the bond seemed to be stronger between them as Joy sapped Cloud's strength.

The meteor started slowing down. "You're doing it!" Chuck said. "It's slowing down!"
