After the overwhelming popularity of the idea, I'm starting this rp. Remember, this takes place in the modern time. So people won't be very happy if you draw your weapon in public. Be careful. Also, this was an important question, and I'll answer. You can talk to your Inhabiter whenever you want. And I have to have Sephiroth as my enemy. Sorry, Azure Flame xD

Joy sat in the cafe, drinking his coffee slowly. He couldn't believe all of it was real. Final Fantasy, everything. And why Cloud chose him was boyone his understanding. After all, in the games, he was the cool dude. Still, having the Buster Sword was pretty cool. He finished his coffee and walked out slowly. He put his hands in his pockets and tried to imitate Cloud's expression, but he burst out laughing, causing to people around him to look at him. Oh, if only they knew.

(You don't start off standing on the plates and they don't shoot fire unless there's pressure on them. The obstacles are there to keep the two from being able to run straight to the exit. The bear is there and will attack you, but the additional trap hasn't activated yet.)

(so my post is okay for now?)

(so my post is okay for now?)

(Yes, it's perfectly fine. I'm not sure if you ever played Final Fantasy X or not, but since Tidus's main thing is time manipulation then maybe he could cast haste on the two of you to allow for a better way to get through your room.)

Mariah stepped back from the oncoming arrows. One came within an inch of her face. “This'll be harder than I thought,” she said to August. “I'm pretty sure I can ward some of these off with my energy-blasting ability, but it takes up quite a bit of stamina for me.” Just then, Victoria joined them. She realized how very tall Victoria was—she towered a full foot over her. A little intimidating. “Hey,” Mariah said, “so who's your Inhabiter? It'll be good for us all to understand each other's abilities so we can figure out how to get to the other side of this room in one piece.”

Right,” Jared said. As stepped forward, he heard Paul come in behind them. “Uh-oh. Well, we've got three in our party now, but I'm guessing that means we're about to be visited by...whatever that thing is. Let's hurry!”

(Okay, now to let the conditions drop. First of all, the mutated bear was already free and headed your way. It's more intelligent than normal bears. It is also stronger and can see perfectly in the dark, unlike you guys. Now that Victoria has entered the Arrow room, the Bear room will get more difficult. You heard me right, it's a circle. There are bear traps laying all around the Bear room which the bear can see and knows to avoid. They were being held down by magnitizm before, so they could be stepped on without them going off, but now the magnitizm has gone away, so Jared, Chuck, and Paul have to defeat the bear and dodge the bear traps in the dark to get to the exit, or just find a way to get to the exit quickly. The bear traps can also be set off easily, so you can use that to your advantage.

Additionally, because Paul entered the Bear room, the Fire room is going to get more difficult. The temperature will begin to rise incredibly quickly, making it necessary for Joy and Calder to get through to the other side quickly. Good luck anyone, and keep in mind that this was all Damion's idea, not mine, so all credit/blame goes to him.)

Victoria looked at Mariah, "I am with Lightning, and trust me, she is the one who got us to come here in the first place. Now I think to get by these arrows, we need a type of sheild ability, which does anyone have anything like that?" Victoria asked as she kept the arrows from getting to her.

Paul knew that the bear was already out and was ready for it to come. "Okay, I have taken down worster than this." Zack said. Paul thought to him, "Well I haven't, but I know we can get past this and then I will be able to get back to Victoria." Paul said. "Speaking of which, are you like just friends, or is there more?" Zack asked him. "This is not the time!" Paul said.

Aria watched the flames. "Okay, so we are dealing with flames here, which means we need to fight fire with fire to get to the back of this room. I can just taste the scent of power coming from every room." Aria said. She then looked at Joy and Calder. "Anybody have the best idea, or is it just me?" Aria asked them.

(Well, since Aria went into the Fire room, all three traps got activated. Wonderful. Needles will now begin shooting from the holes in the walls of the Arrow room along with the arrows from the crossbows at the back of the room.)

August quickly summoned a sword and shield, then blocked a few of the incoming arrows with them, dodging the rest as best he could, but taking an needle to his exposed ribs. A concurrence rune appeared on the ground before him and he punched it with all of his might, sending Cataclysm, a burst of three large chunks of earth, springing up from the ground towards the crossbows, destroying them. Now they just had to do their best to get through to the back without becoming living pin cushions. August shouted at Victoria, "See if Lighting can take control of your body and use the ability Army of One. It'd be your best bet to get to the other side."

Cain smiled and stared at a monitor. "Good, all three traps have been sprung...that'll have them worn out before the labyrinth. Oh..if they think this is where my 'fun' stops they've got another thing coming," he whispered to himself. He then walked over to the governor's chair and ripped off the governor's tie.

"Why? Who..who's there? Have you come to rescue me?" the governor asked,"quick hurry, he's already blinded me with sulfur powder...how did you get past him?"

"Old man, your becoming delusional. That powder did its job alright, you can't see a thing. You know, it's an old trick we assassins have been using since the eighteenth century, and you know what? It still works today. Although it won't work your whole life...wait....yes it will. Seeing as how you've done your part, I'm keeping you around just long enough," he said in an enthusiastic tone. The governor started freaking out, he flailed wildly in his chair, and then caused it to tip. "Oops, somebody had a wittle accident didn't day? Aww would you wike me to make it aww better?" Cain asked. (The tone you'd use with a four year old.) The governor spit on Cain's leg, and Cain responded by pointing to a trap door on the floor. "I'm going down there, you'll be going up there, and they will come in through there.." Cain said. He pointed to the rafter after the trap door, and then he had pointed to the only other door in the room that was right behind him.

"How will they know where to find you? I don't care if they save me or not, I just want them to stop you! You're mad!!!" the governor yelled.

"MAD?! Could a madman have set up such an elaborate plot? Could a madman have kidnapped one of the richest American governors in the world? Could a madman have fulfilled three thousand kill contracts in only one year, and have made it to the head of an assassination organization that is as old as Rome?! Could a madman assassinate over seventy trained and professional assassins? I KILLED YOUR SON! I SET THEM UP! Once they exit those rooms the doors behind them will shut and they will have only one way to go. Through MY labyrinth, to THIS room, down MY trap door, and into the belly of what used to be my home. Down there is my organization's old fighting ground, down there are over five thousand dead bodies of my fallen enemies, but down there is where I plan to die! Yes I said it, I want to die, but not by my hand or by the hand of some punk. One of those kids might be able to do so but I'm going to test this theory. Now...as for you....I only have one need for you, and as soon as they get in here you will have fulfilled it..." Cain said, his own voice sounded twisted, even in his own ears, but he liked it.

The governor laughed and said," You're a nut. Just a freak who thinks that he's special, and wants to go pick on some stupid kids...YOU KILLED MY SON!"

"Easily too..." Cain said coldly," I was going to let you live old man....but now...I have different plans."

The heat suddenly rose to very high proportions. Joy gasped. "How hot is it? At least 100 degrees?" Calder gasped too. "Look, there's still a lot more fire to go. I'll use haste, you get through the fire. It would help if our Inhabitors helped, even just a bit." joy didn't respond. Calder casted Haste and Joy ran as fast as he could. He got to about the middle when it ran out. Fire spouted up, and burned Joy's arm. Everything went blurry, and his arm was on fire. He felt himself being dragged, and he fell into darkness.

***

Calder carried Joy to the other side desperately. The fire was heating him up, but not burning him like Joy. He was about to make it when the fire started to rise. He looked sadly at Joy. "Only one way to get you across. This is the end, my friend..."

***

Joy woke up, and looked into the spouts. Calder was nowhere to be seen. Joy seemed to have been thrown across. And Joy knew what had happened. He couldn't even cry. The place was too hot.

Aria had seen what the others were doing. "I have no time for sad endings right now, if I am going to do this Zack, I need your help. There I said it, now help me get across!" Aria said. Noel finally came out of Aria, "You know you could have just said so in the first place." Zack then found a way to pick Aria up, "Okay I need you to long jump. Dont worrie about me, cause I am you." Zack said. Aria nodded and with the help of Zack, she was able to perform a long jump to the back, but was burnt along the way. She then looked over at Joy, "Sorry for your lost." she said as she didnt see Caldner.

Victoria looked at August. "What in the world is Army of One? And how do I pull that off, I kinda skipped Final Fantasy for Kingdom Hearts." Victoria said after blocking the arrows. She hadn't the slightest clue why she would need to do that move, and for some weird reason, Lightning wasnt responding to Victoria's calls.

"Army of One is Lightning's signature move. It's a fluid, graceful stream of attacks that you can use to easily dodge and deflect all incoming attacks with ease," August responded, rushing forward with his shield blocking his most vital areas and his sword deflecting others, his speed enhanced by Vaan's natural ability. (Feel free to look up Army of One on youtube. It's pretty great.)

(I am still on chapter 11 of XIII and I have yet to unlock the ability so I dont really know that much about the attack, but when I can I will look it up. But now, I am tired, and Im going to bed.)

(I embedded a video for it in my last post.)

(Sorry guys, my life just got really hectic, and it will be for a while, so I have very little time to post now. :/)

Mariah didn't have too much trouble avoiding the arrows, although she was happy when August got them out of the way, but the needles were a different story. There were so many of them, and they were small and difficult to see. She used her energy ability in short spurts, knocking the needles away each time, but in between spurts, several needles caught her in places all over her body. She could feel the small trickles of blood coming from the wounds, and she was growing tired from the continuous use of the ability Scardigne had passed on to her, but she kept running, deflecting as many needles as she could.

The bear came into Jared's view at a terrifying speed. Jared aimed both of his guns at it, but it seemed to know what the weapons meant, and veered to the side almost instantly. Jared was so startled by the bear's apparent intelligence that he stumbled with his hand still on the trigger, and accidentally shot at one of the bear traps on the floor, setting it off, and he noticed there were others. This gave him an idea. Not a brilliant one, but it was an idea nonetheless. “Hey, Chuck and Paul,” he said, trying to sound calm. “See all these bear traps? You guys lure this bear toward the traps while I shoot at him. Just try not to get yourselves caught in them, since they're hard to see.”

"Alright." Chuck said. He got an idea too. Using the blade of the Gunblade, he flipped one of the traps in the air. He then kicked it at the bear. "Let's see how you like that!"

August did the best he could under the circumstances and reached the end of the room to stand in the hallway with Mariah, facing a ladder that dropped down into the labyrinth below. "Mariah, you look pretty hurt and exhausted there," he said, temporarily forgetting about the dozens of needles within his own skin. He was glad he'd taken out the crossbows at the back of the room, because he could easily think of several times when being struck by a needle took away his focus for just enough time for an arrow to have escaped his attention and killed him. The needles were bad, granted, but they sure beat being run through by an arrow. August began to assist Mariah in pulling out the needles stuck in her skin, being as gentle as he could. If they didn't take time to pull the arrows out, after all, they could become a much greater hindrance later on.

Victoria had somehow magande to use Army of One by herself and reached the other side of the room. She had needles all over and an arrow, that she was carrying around with her for luck, sucked to her shoe. She had gotten an arrow from her father right before he was no more. She had believed the arrow was the only way to keep close to him, and even though she kept it close to her, it was a secret that she carried it with her. When she reached the other side, she pulled the arrow out of her foot, but there was no pain, but she could tell that her foot was bleeding by how the arrow had dark red blood on it. She then sat down and pulled off her shoe. She noticed that her foot was badly damaged. 'I cant believe how big this thing is, was my dad working towards something before he disappeared? Why am I asking myself this right now, I am hurt.' Victoria thought. She then looked at August. "Um, August, I dont want to be rude, but I think I might have a bigger problem here." Victoria said trying not to think about why she even carried the arrow with her.

"Okay, I think I have the perfect plan. Okay one of you distract it and I will be on the other side if you need me." Paul said. He then ran to the other side dodging every trap that there was.

(How did Victoria get an arrow in her foot if the first thing August did was get rid of the crossbows?)

(How did Victoria get an arrow in her foot if the first thing August did was get rid of the crossbows?)

(FIXED)

(It's pitch black in that room. Unless Paul has a way to create light, dodging all of the traps won't be that easy.)

August turned to face Victoria, who's foot was bleeding out more and more as time went on. He wondered how she'd gotten the arrow stuck in her foot, but decided that that was a question best saved for another time. He used what little he knew of bandaging wounds and then went to removing her needles. He hoped that Tifa or Lighting knew some healing spells, because Vaan sure as heck didn't.

Paul almost made his target when he got attacked by a trap, "Damn" he said in pain. He then cut the trap off, but noticed that the bear heard him and was headed straight towards him, "Not my day" Paul said. He was almost living up to Zack's tone. He took out his sword and prepared to defined himself against the bear.

"Thanks. I dont know how, but somehow my arrow fell out. I usually keep it in my back pocket in small size, but I guess when I did that move it must have advictied and fell out. My dad was always with that arrow, so I am always with it too." Victoria said. Lightning finally came back, 'Sorry, but I had to use your body to help you across, that is why I didnt responde. Now lets heal you, medic, cure." Lightning said. Victoria then looked at her wound and it was alittle better. 'I cant do it fully, but that should let you walk again.' Lightning said.

(Okay, I uh, made it across. How can I move on and face other traps. Time for the labyrinth?)

Lights came on and the walls between them came down, needles from the first room flew and hit the bear, and the bear traps were all remagnatized.

"Ok, was it just me, or did that get a bit boring? Let's get down to buisness, here it goes, infront of you all is a door...just one. (laughter) Inside is the last leg of the game, my labyrinth. There are four paths, the north path, south path, East Path, and my favorite, the Northeast path. In the North, South, and East paths you'll find that I used Caius's beast summoning ability to bring forth three beastly Behemoths. An Alpha, Beta, and Omega. But that shouldn't worry you. I told you where I am right? (more laughter) I'll catch you kids later," Cain said. Suddenly the door infront of them opened, and revealed the paths....

August stood up and unleashed a quick burst of Inferno, making all of the needles in his body fly out. He still hurt, but endorphins were flooding his brain in the same way they would after being given acupuncture. August then looked around to see what had come of the others. Paul had an injured leg and Victoria had a hurt foot, while Mariah was exhausted. It was then that he realized what, or rather who, the pile of ash on the ground was. Calder was no longer with them.

"You bastard! Someone firetrucking DIED and you have the nerve to call it BORING? I swear, I'll take you down myself, even if I have to kill all three behemoths! You won't get away with hurting anyone else anymore!" August shouted to the intercoms, his temper boiling over, unleashing the pent up rage he had hid behind coldness before when Marcus died. Turning to the others, he said "I'll take the Omega Behemoth in the East path. Everyone else should split up and take the North and South paths. I don't trust that Northeast path. We shouldn't all go through one way because then he might run through a different path, taking up time. Besides, if we don't take the things down, they'll just gang up on us later." Resolutely, August opened the door and walked through, making his way towards Cain and vengeance one step at a time.

As August had said, Mariah was exhausted. There was pain all over her body from the injuries that were tiny but many. She thanked August as he assisted her in removing the needles from her skin, and she was about to help him with his needles when the walls went down. As soon as that happened, her eyes automatically went to Joy to make sure he was alright, and though he looked mostly unharmed, she could see from his expression that something was terribly wrong. Then she realized that Calder was gone, and August's hateful words toward Cain confirmed it. She clenched her fists and swallowed, not allowing the tears to surface this time. She had to focus. This low-life was going down.

I'll take the Alpha Behemoth,” she said evenly, heading for the North Path.

Jared decided to follow Mariah. It looked like she wasn't in great shape yet, so she might need some help.

Chuck came out behind Jared, wondering what was going on. "What happened here!?" he said, noticing Mariah.
