So what is the actual status of SOPA? I know its a bill that's making everyone freak out but what are the chances of it actually passing? I'm too lazy to research it.... sue me, I'm apparently going to jail anyways

Something that needs to be said is that SOPA and PIPA has been tabled indefinitely. That means that the idea is going back to committee. It will take months, if not years for Congress to come up with something to combat online piracy, and if it affects the internet negatively, then people will protest, again.
