tutti frutti. I downloaded the demo to FFXIII-2 and still have mixed reviews myself based on what I've played. In my opinion, XIII wasn't the best, but the story kept me interested in the game long enough to see what happens. For those that haven't played the demo, the main goal is to defeat Atlas. From I've played you come across at least one side mission to defeat an enemy. (I'm not completely sure if there are others in the demo, I have to play again to see.) But for anyone else that has played/seen the demo, what are your thoughts on the demo and what do you expect out of XIII-2?

I don't completely agree that just because it is turned based, its bad. There are plenty of good turned based RPGs out there and there are not so good ones as well. So please don't judge the game just because it is turn-base. In fact, the reason why Square Enix (former Squaresoft) is alive today is because of Final Fantasy.

 

I actually hated how games are becoming more shooters, nowadays. That is why I still play a lot of classic more than MW3, BF3, Uncharted, etc.

I found really fun and seemed pretty good so far plus they gave GIL AFTER BATTLE WHICH MAKES ME HAPPY AND EVERYTHING IS IMPROVEDWOOT!!

The gameplay has definitely improved over XIII's.

However the "side-quests" in the demo were the kind that I hate. Fetch/hunt quests that add literally nothing to the storyline.

This game's story is so out-of-nowhere and nowhere near as entertaining as XIII's.

Exactly, the game's story looks boring and uninteresting. Although I have to admit that the gameplay looks slightly better than that of XIII. But I'm still iffy about the game. Let alone I don't think i'm all too interested in this game. Only thing that appeals to me about this game is the gameplay. Other than that, the story doesn't look that great.

The gameplay is great, the story is meh, but I guess I'll buy it for the playing; if I needed it for the story I'd watch it on Youtube.
