The Lost Sequel of the Civil War

 

Storyline:

It's been years since the final movement of the Civil War of the KWU VS WPA was set,by killing off their last leader and solid rock. For at the very least 3 years,peace thrived,until a new force of tyranny started to rise again. This force was stronger,smarter,with a better plan. A team went in and tried to finish them off,but with the mission gone wrong from start to end,this new force took over the worlds completetly. For around 5 years this force of tyranny has ruled. The worlds are in deseperate need. People everywhere dying of hunger. Many struggleling to survive from desies. The worlds have lost their beauty and streanght. Those who go against this tyranny are either sentenced to death or set to eternal slavery. Many people are afraid to fight back. But there are many,keyblade wielders and non-keyblade wielders,who are ready to fight. Either join with the Resistance,or help out the tyranny. There is only one thing in everyone's minds.

This tyranny needs to end.

And it needs to end now.

(nuri's pov)

 

we have already teleported back to the facility so fast thats lambda didnt even finish her juice box. we were in a tent with lightning, vaden, and a girl who must be leslie's daughter...no doubt that she even looks like our alessa. she had no arm, a bunch of large wounds, and covered in bruises. she softly snored as she was asleep. "took you awhile..." lightning said, vaden was leaning against the wall. "yeah, our heros should be back already...I cant sense the general anymore, they should be out of that closed space now." vaden said. "goodie, closed space you say? im surpirsed he could conjure one up on a whim." niex said. 'holy crap! im not surpised the entire universe collapsed...creating a closed space, yeah its pretty much begging to create a black hole and swallow your own universe in less than 0.5 seconds.' "at least we are still standing here..." i said everyone nodded. "THEY'RE BACK!!!" a brotherhood agent yelled from outside the tent, we all went outside. Lightning on the other hand went the opposite direction to meet up with sahz and snow.

 

(leslie's pov)

 

Many colorful lights bursted from the seal, it was so beautiful the bizarre sky and the reality around changed and it all shattered into glass shards breaking and fading away into colorful sparkles that rained downed on us. I found myself and my friends back at the facility, people crowded around us cheering, nuri, lambda, and an man in his fifties came up to us. he wore a suit that looked like that came from a different time, his eyes were gray, he had his hair slick back, and he was very tall. the man shook each of our hands. "It's a pleasure to finally meet the four of you...I am Niex. The headmaster of the Brotherhood, you have done a wonderful job in protecting not only your dimension but every single one in existence." he said. 'something about this guy seems...peculiar...' "I would want to humbly ask of each of you to Join the brotherhood. we could keyblade wielders such as yourselves would help us in our cause: To Protect time, space, and to maintain that balance." he said as he pulled out four badges beautifully carved with an hourglass made out of pure platinum and gold.

 

 

(lightnings pov)

 

I walked over to snow and sahz. "now, you see that is whole thing is much bigger than any of us can possibly imagine?" i said. "yeah...but nonetheless it will lead us to serah, I think im beginning to understand why you left." snow said. "Im surprised you catch on that quick." I said coldly. "well when i want to. i can learn fast." snow said. sahz was looking at the Tracker. "and...they are arriving at the brotherhood headquarters...now. Let's go, lets skip the celebration here." sahz said. I then teleported us back to the brotherhood headquarters.

Marina stared at the man as he held out the hourglass pins,offering them to join the Brotherhood. Marina stared down at the pins. "(But we have so much to do. We still have to deal with the Tyranny and all of their plans. I don't know if this is such a good idea...though it could come in handy if we need help in all of this.)"Marina thinks. She then came back to reality and looked down to see Lambda tugging on her clothes. Marina smiled. "Hey Lambda."Marina says as she knelt down. She rubbed Lambda's head and watched at the cybernatic animals that sorrounded her. "Are these your pets? Did Nuri got them for you?"Marina asks. Lambda simply shrugged smiling. Marina smirked slightly and picked up Lambda. "Come here. Did you behave well while we were gone?"Marina asks. Being around a little kid this small and this cute had Marina head over heels of acting like a mom to the little one. Lambda simply smiled as she nommed on the snack that Nuri had given to her. Marina's expression then turned somewhat serious as she turned over to Niex. She shrugged slightly. "What's the catch?"Marina asks Niex. Lambda looked over and stared at the badges. She stretched over slightly and picked one of them up and stared at it curiously,probably because it was so pretty and elegant.

Alex raised an eyebrow at Niex. So wait... we're the guardians of time and space and all the other dimensions now? Seems legit.Alex was still slightly holding his head. He was feeling very off, and he had no idea why. "Hey, as much as I'm honoured to be a member of the time police and all, I thought we still had work to do here. I mean, if I've learned anything during all of the crap we've been through, it's that taking out the leader sure as hell doesn't mean we've taken out the group. Just because the general is dead, doesn't mean the Tyranny is dead. Our priority should be finding a way to make sure they don't come back this time." Alex shook his head slightly. "Maybe we should think it over first? Besides, I could really use a rest right now."

 

- in Twilight Town -

 

"NO!!!!!" The man slammed his fists against the screen. The general was dead. Leslie, Marina, Alex, and Maloran had killed him. He was a senior officer, which was just below general. "How could he possibly have fallen to those rats?!"

 

The man the four had encountered earlier was standing behind him, arms behind his back. "I would have believed that our superior would not have let himself be so easily defeated by a group of weak children."

 

"They're not weak." The officer shook his head. "They're incredibly powerful. That's why the general fell. He vastly underestimated what they were capable of..." He turned around. "But we are not dead. As long as there is one of us alive, our dream will never die. We will strike back at that resistance, and I intend to put you at the tip of the spear." He began to walk away. "They will soon lose one of their most valued members, and they will be sure to fall soon afterwards. The worlds will be unified in a single race, a single dream. There will be peace across the universe..."

 

Just as the officer was leaving the room, he turned slightly to look Nightmare Protocol in the eyes. "...and anyone who tries to stop this will burn."

"I hear ya Alex, it has been tough for a lot of us, and is it just me, or does anyone else find this whole Tyranny remind you of anything...i mean, sure it's been happening for a while, but next thing ya know some other blaggards are gonna show up wanting a fight, if i learned anything from my fathers military stories, it's that kind of thing always happens...especially when you don't expect it." said Maloran. Maloran then looked over his shoulder and let out a sigh of relief. "Man am i glad i didn't just jinx us, i hate when that happens, even at times like this." said Maloran.

(leslie's pov)

 

"I understand your concerns...we will of course help you with this universe first since it has been in the line of fire. Our organization has worked behind the shadows and responsible for great outstanding civilization Eons ago as well as present time in other dimensions, and leaders such as Aristotle, Alexander The great, Genghis Khan were all apart of The brotherhood. Even a man that you may have heard of a long time ago Named Ansem The Wise was an agent. We strive to keep balance, but of course there is darkness that will corrupt that balance of peace. Our Code Of conduct is to Usually not Interfere in situations like these, where the government and its people are fighting but me and The Council have considered this a special case. That Crystal that you have there marina, Clearly cannot fall into the wrong hands. With that kind of power you can cause a lot of destruction, we had it in our hands 500 years ago...It was being studied and protected until we found our agents guarding it were turned into Bladechildren after the were bitten. we couldnt administer the cure on time..." Niex said, I looked at Marina's arm. 'wait...HOLY SHIT.' "Um Marina...your Shoulder..." my voice lowered to a squeak, niex immediately took out a Large syringe out of his breast pocket. "this is going to hurt." niex said.

 

(nuri's pov)

 

'Ooooh! thats not good, it even looks infected. gross...heh poor girl..that needle is to create a guidance hole for the much BIGGER needle with the cure.' "Nuri, go check on alessa." Headmaster niex said. I nodded and i walked over back to the tent, I applied new bandages as I removed old ones. Brotherhood Agents were helping out the Resistance members with aid, food, supplies and helping keep track of Captured enemy soldiers. alessa woke up from her sleep. "....Cant cast cure on me?" she asked. "cant...your wounds are much to severe, it wont do anything. Besides, we found your arm. Problem is its totally in bits and pieces, we are going to hook you up with a robotic one." I pulled a large suitcase that was under her stretcher and laid it on the table. "..who are you?Why aren't I interrogated? or even at least waterboarded? I am a High ranking Soldier of the Master Chaser Race Army" alessa asked in curiosity. I slowly took out the robotic arm from the case and started to set it up. "well, My name is Nuri, I'm a friend of your mom and a Brotherhood Agent helping The Resistance. We pretty much have enough accounts from the high ranking soldiers that WERE alive or are slowly dying as we speak and besides you have already been though enough already.

 

 

You found out the truth about your parents, the reason why you were a soldier for "the master chaser race" in the first place and you were beaten half to death by your own leader. so yeah that pretty much sums it up of the reasons why you aren't being torchured or questioned." I said, she looked at the roof of the tent aimlessly. I mounted the robotic arm to whats left of her shoulder, and I activated it. Wires began to move, gears began to click into place, then the robotic arm transformed into a normal arm. Alessa looked at the Arm in amazement. "looks and feels normal huh? the only difference is if you get next to a magnet it will stick to your arm." I said. "its almost like It never got blown off...Thank you, Nuri." she gave me a small smile. "no problem...we make those on a daily basis so if you lose an arm, leg or your face its not a big deal." I said.

"it seems they are launching their Ghost Protocol now..." jihl was In twilight town In disguise as she was feeding information wearing an earwig. "excellent...just as we anticipated....good work Agent Nabaat, Keep sending intel...and we will go from there.' a man was on the other line of the earwig. he had a very deep voice.

Marina stared as she heard everything that Niex said. She looked up. "I understand,still...on a side point I would like to study this crystal myself. I wish to see if I can use it in a...small advantedge. But if you could also let me borrow some of the reports,it would be very useful as well."Marina says as she patted her pocket. Lambda simply stared at the pin. Marina then hear Leslie. She turned. "What?" Marina then looked down at her shoulder. She then remembered. She had been bitten by one of the Bladechildren back at the Tyranny base,just as she downloaded the virus onto the cannon. The beast had bitted her pretty well,she was surprised that piece of shoulder didn't simply ripped off her. "(Wait... ... ... ... ...crap.)"Marina thinks. She looked up as Niex was walking towards her Marina gulped as she setted down Lambda. Lambda stared up and walked over to Alex as she watched what happened. Marina anime sweatdropped and backed away. "Come on Niex it doesn't even hurt I swear,if I was turning my teeth would of been sharper and my skin would be dead and I think wings would of grown by now don't ya think?!"Marina says trying to avoid a needle,even though it was unavoitable. She reached and wall and stared. "Come on Niex."Marina says. Niex simply stared with a pokerface expression as he pinned her shoulder and stabbed the needle in. Marina cringed a bit. Niex then moved it around looking for bone and vein. Marina whined. Eventually Niex stopped as he found it. Marina sighed. "Good now that that's over with-"Marina says as just then Nix took out another syringe. He clicked on it and a huge needle came out of it. Marina went black and white at this point. "WAIT WAIT WAIT WHAT KIND OF SICK SORCERY IS THIS?!"Marina asks waving her arms around. Lambda laughed a bit.

As much as Alex cared about Marina and was concerned for her after realizing what being bit meant, the fact that the Brotherhood had this under control meant that he didn't really need to worry. Which meant he could be himself. "The great Marina, killer of Stahl, saviour of the universe, the woman who fought a lethal plague for a chance to go on a mission is afraid of needles? Aw man, I should have brought some popcorn. Come on, where's your brave face? You've got an audience this time." He put his hands on Lambda's shoulders. He turned his head lightly to the girl. "You don't see her freak out often. You're lucky to get front row seats to the one time she does."

Maloran was trying hard not to laugh....keyword, trying. 'Oh man, this is priceless....man, I figured that, since these guys are more experience with conquering fear that a needle would be a snap.' thought Maloran. "Ha, this kinda thing reminds me of those old zombie movies, one of the few survivors gets bitten, then everyone goes through hell and back to avoid him or her, going through the change." said Maloran. Maloran the looked towards Alex. `Hey, Alex, have you ever watched those kinds of horror movies before, ya know, before you became a wielder?" asked Maloran.

Marina whimpered as she stared at how long the needle was. Niex flicked it slightly as some purple liquid was inside it and glowing. Niex then removed the previous needle and injected the new one real deep. Marina went black and white as Niex injected the cure. It went through the bones and through the vanes. It started to burn as it spread through the body. Marina cringed as she stood still while the needle was in. Niex then injcted it all and removed it. Marina stared and shook her head. She backed away and pointed at him. "No way in hell you're giving me that ever again!!!"Marina says as she then felt her fingers twitch slightly while the cure went through her system. She felt them slightly as she could see Niex sigh slightly. Lambda stared and blinked for a few seconds. She walked over to Marina and pointed at something glowing in her pocket. Marina looked down. "What Lambda?"Marina asks. She then followed her gaze,takin out the crystal out of her pocket afterwards. "This?"Marina asks. She knelt down slightly and showed it to her. "I would let you play with it,but it's a bit to dangerous. Maybe after I find out more about it,ok?"Marina asks. Lambda simply stared and noded slightly. Marina stood back up and got the crystal in her pocket. Lambda petted the ferret that was around her shoulder and saw the butterfly fly around. Marina then looked up. "Lambda didn't caused any trouble now did she?"Marina asks as she rubbed Lambda's head.

(alessa's pov)

 

Nuri moved her blonde hair out of her eyes, she had icy blue eyes that pierced mine. she than put her hand on my shoulder as she looked at me. "I know how you feel...this all must be a shock to you to know your true Origins...but trust me, it will get better." I pursed my lips. '....I honestly don't know what to think, especially when you were taught to hate something ever since i was small...i could remember that our commander would bring a non-wielder to our company, and our assignment was to stone this young woman to death. she was tied up to a chair, and I was the one who enjoyed doing it the most, she couldn't been more than 17....looking back it was a horrible thing to do.' "...yeah, thanks, Nuri." I said. "no problem! we should reunite with My boss, your mom and her friends." she gave me a huge grin. the pit of my stomach felt heavy, my mouth started to feel dry. 'what is this feeling...?' nuri's cold eyes slowly became warm. "you feel guilty, Its ok if you do, because no matter what you mother loves you." Nuri said. "I know but...I did so much...I hurt her very badly..." my stomach started churn, my mouth became drier. "I know but you didnt know what was really going on, you were brainwashed into thinking she was the enemy...you were just molded to think that way. It's not your fault." Nuri said, I nodded. "when your ready, we can go see her. just take five" she said.

 

(Niex's pov)

 

"no, not at all...she was an angel." I said lambda smiled at me. 'Oooh she s so cute x3 this makes me wish I had kids.' "the files about the Crystal.." I handed her a file from my suitcase, I handed it to alex since it was a big fat 10 pound file. "it should have alot of mathematical equations and formulas for its energetic mass and function. we also have studies and statistics from our top scientists but first we have our agents at your service to help you and this universe. they are everywhere, just shine your badge. If you need any further assistance nuri will be your permanent liaison." I said, I gave all the badges to Leslie, they were encased in a beautiful wooden box. "may you have your light guide you." I said, I teleported right in front of them to only be at my office. the numerous phones on my desk all rang. piles of paperwork littered my work space. I sighed. 'oh well fun is over...that business trip was fun...now where's my wife? she should be back already...i missed her '

Marina picked a few papers of the files and read them. "Thanks Niex."Marina says,but he was already gone. Marina smiled slightly and stepped around a bit. "Now to read all of these,this should be useful on what I have planned for the crystal."Marina says. "(Maybe and hopefully,it won't be used just for weapons,but also for something more useful than just pain.)"Marina thinks. She smiled and looked down at Lambda. She rubbed her head. "You can play around or stay and read with me. But it's a bit boring though."Marina says as she stood back up. She clapped her hands together as she saw the huge file that Alex was holding. "All of this information,it's like heaven."Marina says. "(After I'm through with this and observation of my own...I'm sure to find something amazing out of this...~)"Marina thinks a bit excited about re-searching about this power small crystal that was pnce charging a massive cannon. Lambda stared up at Alex and smiled. "Alex is strong."Lambda says as the cybernetic butterfly flew from Lambda's head and landed on Alex's head. Lambda then tugged on Alex's pants,wanting him to play with her after he setted down the files.

Alex couldn't help but smile at Lambda's comments. Remind me to tell you about when I overturned a barricade of tanks. He then felt the girl tugging at his leg. He then turned his head to look down at her. "What's up? You want to play?"

 

Suddenly, Alex's breathing quickened. Images were flashing in his head again. The same images as before. His dead mother's body, Quentin's horribly mutilated corpse, Jacobs with a bullet in his brain. Alex fell down to one knee, as the cybernetic butterfly came off of his head and landed on Lambda's shoulder. Something was very wrong with him, and whatever it was, it was getting worse quickly. Until he knew what it was, though, he didn't want anyone to worry, so he masked his loss of energy as him kneeling down and placing the files down on the ground beside him. He looked Lambda in the eyes, maintaining a smile on his face. "So what do you wanna do? Tag? Hide and Seek?"

(I'm gonna explain Maloran's backstory in my next post)

 

Maloran was still laughing a little, until his face went into a sort of depressed look. He walked over to Yanley, specifically wanting to talk to her. "Hey Yanley, do you mind if i talk to ya for a moment, if so, i need you to meet me in the hall." he whispered. Maloran then went into the hall. The reason Maloran wanted to speak alon is because he didn't really like openly talking about his past, but figured that it was the only way to lift the burden on his shoulders now. 'They just don't know, i only use humor in a fight because it helps me forget what's happened in the past, but, i guess Yanley would be the best person to talk to.' thought Maloran.

My heart pounded hard in my chest, I felt the moist dirt beneath my feet. sweat dripped down from my forhead. I looked around the area filled with hundreds of PSICOM Soldiers all passed out onto the ground. "WHEW! That was a little harder than usual...I must be getting old, Besides My honey must be worried sick about me by now " I kicked a soldiers body out of my way to then get past The dense grass of The Archylte Steppe. "we almost there?" Fang said as she brushed her wavy dark brown hair with her fingers, vanille and hope sat on the grass, relaxing. "yeah...the portal should be here I can sense it. its very close." I said. "why cant you automatically teleport like the others?" hope asked. "...becuase half of my power is gone, and im still trying to get it back and along with trying to find someone at the same time..." I said. "I hope you find that someone and get your power back." Vanille said. 'yeah....as strong as I am, Im only literally half what i used to be.' I sighed. "thanks, Vanille." I said, she finished braiding her red hair, hope was just playing with dirt and grass then he shoved a small little pebble and a huge brust of light emerged with a symbol glowing:

 

"huh..there it is...Lets go!" I said. we all stepped into the portal.

 

 

(leslie's pov)

 

"sure." i said to the young keyblade wielder. he looked really anxious and depressed to tell me something. lambda, alex, the strange ferret, dog and butterly froliced. 'I hope alessa is being taken care of by Nuri...' I thought. "so, what is it, meloran?"

"You ever get an ache in the pit of your stomach that you're a failure, that there was many opportunities you could've prevented something, but you completely messed up?" asked Maloran. "I ask this because i've been feeling this way for years, i was a fighter, even before i was a wielder, i was even openly rebellious against Tyranny in my youth, even my family supported me, and not just my parents or siblings, but my aunts, uncles and cousins as well, but my small attacks on them normally ended with me getting shot....when i got my keyblade, my parents knew that Tyranny would be after me more than they were before, so i fled, trying to stay as far ahead of Tyranny as possible, but i soon remembered what my father told me about the wielders, that they never leave someone in need.....so i went back, when i got there, i killed a few Tyranny soldiers, but when i got to my house, everyone was dead, so i travelled to my other relatives, hoping to stay with them, but everywhere i went, they were gone, killed remorselessly by Tyranny....i'm the last of my entire family, and the only hope left to continue our family name." said Maloran. Maloran then punched a wall, he no longer looked depressed, his eyes were now full of anger. "I can only hide the pain with then fun loving Maloran for so long, i say and do humorous things in battle to hide my hate for Tyranny, but i fear that one day, it'll become to much and i'll slip into darkness, my hate for them is like venom in my veins.....i just don't know what to do anymore." said Maloran. Anyone could tell that he was trying to calm down, but was failing at it.

Marina smiled. She setted the papers ontop of the files as she picked up the files afterwards. "You two have fun,I'm going to find a place to study these."Marina says. She slightly waved at Lambda and walked away while carrying the files. Lambda waved back and then looked at Alex. She thought for a few seconds and looked up smiling. "Lets play tag."Lambda says. She then tapped Alex. "Tag,you're it."Lambda says. With that she darted off as the cybernetic puppy followed her. Marina walked down the hallway. "Lets see,I should have a wide space to have all of these papers settled down,a nice big table wouldn't be much of a problem."Marina says. She then stopped and backed up a bit. She stared through the window of the door as there were some members just relaxing around a big round table. Marina smiled. "Perfect."Marina says. She opened the door and walked in. "Hello gentlemen,please get out so I may use this roomfor important development and investigation. Out. Out. Out. Out. Out. Out!"Marina simply says as the soldiers walked out of the room as the last one was slightly pushed out. Marina closed the door and pulled down the curtain of the door window. A few seconds later she taped a piece of paper on the front of the door saying in big letters,'PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB UNLESS YOU BRING FOOD '.

Alex lightly jogged behind Lambda as she ran through the base, laughing. The cybernetic dog was following her. Eventually, they came to a room that no one else was in. Lambda ran until she was against the wall and smiling at Alex. Alex leaned against the wall and pretended to be out of breath. "Man, you're fast! Just give me a second to catch my breath." Suddenly, Alex heard a deep, emotionless voice from behind him.

 

"Are you having trouble, Mr. Roberts?"

Within half a second, Alex had turned around and had his Keyblade drawn and pointed at the man. The same man who he had fought before. Alex moved in front of Lambda and put his hand on her shoulder. "Lambda, I need you to go and find Marina, and tell her that Alex needs help. Can you do that for me?" Lambda nodded quickly, and began to run out of the room. When she was gone, Alex started moving forward. "How did you find this place? How did you get in here?"

 

The man moved one of his hands forward. Black fire shot out, and his black, double edged blade was in his hand. "You are my target, Alex. Once you are marked, there is no place where you can hide from me. I will always know where you are."

 

Alex then realized: after he had fought Alessa, and they fought for the first time. He had grabbed Alex, raised his hand, and...

 

Alex glared at the man. "What did you do to me?"

 

"If you desire answers, take them." Alex charged forward, and they clashed.

Marina started to read every single page and make some notes to the side for herself on what she found most important and most useful. "f(x)=8+∑_(n=1)^85∞▒(a_n cos⁡〖nπx/L〗+b_n sin⁡〖nπx/L〗 ) (-87±√(8^2-423c))/2a."Marina muttered to herself. She lowered her head and he;d her head. "I haven't done this much math ever since I tried to calculate my last escape from the prission,and yet I was off by 3 digits!"Marina says as she rested back on her seat while holding her head. Marina breathed and satted down normaly. "Ok."Marina says. She looked down at her notes and started to make a few marks on it,marking specific ones which she would need tor re-re-read later on. "Ok. PAGE 10."Marina says when she heard a knock on the door. "Hm?"Marina asks. She heard more knocks. Marina stood up from her seat,setting the paper and pencil down. She opened and looked around. She then looked down see Lambda. "Oh hey Lambda."Marina says. She knelt down slightly. "Do you want to play?Cause I'm pretty busy right now."Marina says. Lambda shook her head. "Alex needs your help."Lambda says. Marina's eyes narrowed at the messege. She stared at Lambda. Even the cybernatic puppy seemed concern. "Ok ok."Marina says. She closed the door and got a red sphere ready. "Take me to him."Marina says. Lambda ran back with Marina following quickly.

Alex was pushed back, but leapt forward again. He swung down and struck the middle of the man's sword, but it mearly split the double sided weapon in two. The man then swung both of the blades at Alex, who backflipped to avoid them. Alex's eyes narrowed. "Who are you, and what do you want from me?!"

 

"I have told you this already, but I am the product of an initiative known as Nightmare Protocol. I have no name, but those who are aware of my existence tend to refer to me as "Nightmare." You may use this should it make you more comfortable. As for what we want... an example." Nightmare began pacing calmly, his emotionless voice never changing. "I have actually done very little to you. Every man has nightmares that they lock away, memories they wish to push aside, fears that they do not want to confront. I have mearly taken all of these most repressed feelings and memories... and brought them back to the surface. Of course, the process being unnatural, it is slowly tearing you apart."

 

Alex stopped, and thought about what he had just heard. "So what... I'm dying?"

 

"Hardly. Eventually, these fears will prove too much for you to handle. You will lose everything, but you will not die. Your body will be useless, your senses, actions, and thoughts physically gone. You will become a prisoner in your own heart, until your worst fears slowly, surely, and completely break you. When there is nothing left, your shell of a body will be repurposed and filled with a new persona that will become the weapon of my superiors."

 

"Sorry, but you don't know me. I'm not gonna break that easily."

 

"Oh, but you will. When I marked you, uprooted your fears, I connected to you. I know every single detail about you Alex. Your worst fears... your greatest failures... the ones you care about most... the person you love the most..."

 

Alex glared at Nightmare, pure hatred in his eyes. He remembered that technically, he wasn't human, so when he said this, he meant it: "If you hurt my friends, you die."

 

"They must be hurt, Alex. For you to be broken, you will be forced to watch as the people you love the most are tortured. You will see their blood, hear their screams of agony, until your mind finally cracks. And try as you may. You're weak, and growing weaker by the second."

 

Alex's fists were shaking. "I'm strong enough to kill you!!!" Alex charged forward with a burst of speed and began furiously clashing blades with Nightmare.

Marina followed Lambda. "Where is he,Lambda?"Marina asks. "Over here."Lambda says. Soon enough Marina could hear the echoes of clashing blades from down the hallway. She ran foward and followed the noise to an empty room. She looked inside and saw Alex fighting against the man from before. "(Damn it,this guy again.)"Marina thinks as she made a fist and glared. Lambda looked up conerned. Marina knelt down and looked over to Lambda. Lamnda,I need you to stay out of battle,if the man gets near you,you run,understand?"Marina asks. Lambda stared and noded. Marina then got her outside of the room and summoned her keyblade. "You're messing with the wrong people pal. Let me help you out Alex."Marina says as she pointed her keyblade towards the man. She shotted a Thundaga towards the man as she then sent a Firaga afterwards. She threw a red sphere along with it to make a big combination towards the man. She smirked and ran around the man and went straight towards the man as her blade was covered in fire. Just then she jumped up and slammed her blade down. "I got you this time!"

there was a long pause between us. "I understand what that feels...to have something important taken away from you. then...over time anger, hate and rage start to eat at you. dont be obsessed with revenge. Remember that your family will always be in your heart. so will be the memories and the warmth of the light within them only bring a sense of hope that will deter the darkness." I said. 'Thats one lesson i learned...I lost my husband...but i could never give up hope because my daughter and my friends are all that i have left. plus the tyranny is weak right now since the general is dead. we just have to make the most of what we have left.' "continue you family name. live a happy life. dont succumb to the darkness...once your in, its hard to get out. trust me." I said to meloran. a Brotherhood agent came up to us. "Mrs. Inverse, meloran...we have news that there will be a new leader for the Tyranny at once. they are saying that everything is an accident. look." he pulled out a tablet computer out of a messenger bag he had. we watched the speech.

The man easily simply took the hits and got out of them without a scratch on him. He rose his arm and blocked Marina's attack. Marina flipped back and landed on her feet. Lambda was staring concerned. Marina turned to her and smiled. "Don't watch to long little one,things could get ugly Lambda. We don't want you to have to see stuff that you aren't ready for."Marina says,reffering of how usually for them small encounters had the tendency to turn into a massive bloodbath without even trying. Lambda stared and noded. She turned away and rested against the wall a bit. She looked down and picked up the cybernatic puppy and hugged it slightly,trying to keep herself calm. Marina turned to the man who was facing off against Alex once more. "Outside in the warzone,throw everything at me,and I won't fall. But invade MY space,invade the ONLY time of PEACE we have,and you're in for it!!!"Marina says,actually very angry that he had had the nerve to follow them here,if that was the case. Marina didn't even think about it. She rose her keyblade and charged at the man once more as he was distracted with Alex.

As Alex clashed blades with Nightmare, he was pushed away. Nightmare then turned with incredible speed and blocked Marina's charge with one of his blades. With little effort, he began to push her back. "Enjoy your peace time while it lasts. It is the last you shall ever receive before you beg for me to end your life." Alex charged him while he was pushing Marina back and smashing him with the hilt of his Keyblade. The man slid back but remained on his feet. However, Nightmare was no longer moving forward. He opened his hands, and his blades vanished in a blast of black fire. "I came here to deliver a message. Now that it has been sent, I must return to my superiors." He then slowly turned his gold eyes to Marina. "If you wish to know how I got in here, perhaps you should ask Mr. Roberts. The two of you do have much to discuss... especially since this will be the last chance Alex will ever have to do so." Nightmare began sinking into the ground through a dark portal. Alex charged forward and jumped in the air. "Get back here!!!!!" Just as he smashed his Keyblade down, the man was gone.

 

Alex leaned against the wall, breathing heavily. He was right: Alex was growing weaker every second. There was a window beside him, and Alex looked at his reflection in it. He was pale. Extremely pale. As if he was dead already. He wasn't kidding when he said that this was destroying me from the inside out... Alex turned his head slightly to Marina. "Thanks for the assist..."

Marina dismissed her blade. "That bastard..."Marina says. She then smiled slightly. "Anything for a friend." Marina then looked up. "Lambda,you can come in now."Marina says. Lambda peeked a bit along with the puppy. Marina noded. Lambda walked inside the room with the puppy following. Marina rubbed Lambda's head. "Great job."Marina says smiling. She then looked up and turned to Alex with a slightly more serious expression on her face. "Alex. What did that guy meant? Did he do something to you? Did he got a tracker inside your head and followed you here or something? Cause if that's the case I can remove it easily."Marina says as she walked over to him and got her hand on his shoulder. Her thumb slightly touched his neck and it sent chills down Marina's spin. He was as cold as a rock. Marina felt herself and then Alex. "What the-Alex,you're cold,not cold cold,but,cold. Is your blood running right?"Marina asks as she grabbed his arm and felt his pulse to see if there was something unusual. Lambda stared and tilted her head. Marina felt her forehead then Alex's. "I'm not a doctor but I've seen enough to know this isn't normal."Marina says. She then noticed something else,he was pale,very. Marina stared with a serious expression. "Alex,what did that guy do to you? If he did something we'll kick his ass for the antidote,like when I got sick,and don't lie,cause it won't work this time."Marina says with a serious expression. Lambda tugged Alex's clothes,worried as well.

Alex slightly shuddered at Marina touching his shoulder and feeling his forehead. There was no hiding that something was wrong now, and he knew, just like how she knew that Alex couldn't be fooled when she was sick all those years ago, that she couldn't be fooled by him now. They knew each other too well. Alex placed his hand on Lambda's head and ruffled her hair playfully, putting on a smile. "Lambda, why don't you go outside and play with your puppy for a few minutes?" Lambda, with a bit of hesitation, let go of Alex and scurried out of the room with the cybernetic puppy, closing the door behind her. Alex then looked Marina in the eyes.

 

"There is no antidote."

 

Alex then proceeded to tell Marina everything. Starting from who - or rather, what - Nightmare actually was, what he did to him during their battle when they first met, Alex's headaches, hearing voices, visions of Jacobs, Quentin, his mother, and even Marina dying, everything he had been told before Marina came to help him right now, how his most repressed fears and nightmares were slowly being brought back to life and how the trauma from that was slowly breaking his mind, how Nightmare intended to torture the life out of Marina, Leslie, and probably Maloran to deal the finishing blow to his psyche... everything.

 

"From what I gather, the Tyranny intends to make me something like him: an empty shell filled with a dangerous persona to do whatever they bid. From what he was saying... I don't think I've got longer than a day left before I fail completely."
