Uhh No. It just means they're not incredibly girly as how the typical girl stereotype makes them out to be. There is nothing wrong with being a "tomboy."

Who says you have to conform to normalcy? and Tomboys have been around for decades, It's hardly unusual.

I think tomboy refers specifically to a sporty, rough, aggressive girl. But today it's come to mean that one isn't a girly-girl.

 

Where I'm from, it's associated with all the girls who play video games or sports.

 

So if dresses, nails, and perfect manners don't excite you, then I guess I'd say that you/most girls are tomboys.

 

Being a guy, we tend to like tomboys too. They're easier to connect with and please. And they don't complain when we talk about video games; they ask how much it costs! (:

Personally I like it when a girl is a bit tom-boyish but I don't really like those "butch" ladies AKA girls that look, sound and act like guys (sometimes more than guys do!).

 

Sammich making is a must though.
