I'm deciding to start, FYI.

Jason studied his open palm and concentrated on the center. Slowly, a blob formed and sprawled over his hand stagnantly. A fork began to take shape and gain solidity in his open palm. Then gravity took effect and Jason closed his fist over the cold metal item. He plunged it into the McDonald's salad placed in front of him, and took a bite, wincing at the strange taste of Hidden Valley Fat-free ranch. He lifted his head and surveyed his employer's restaurant. Men and women were sitting in the small booths, chatting and taking sips of their beverages. He heard the Manager's voice over the commotion. "You're fired, Max! FIRED!" He shouted to the whimpering 14 year old, saliva hitting his face like shrapnel from a shotgun. "Damn kids," He muttered under his breath. "Jason! When you finish your salad break, come to my office." He said aloud, pointing at Jason. Jason sighed, and ate his salad hurriedly. He just saw a prime example of what happened when you displeased Moonac. He rose and threw his salad away, and he drew a deep breath, which caused his fork to bend into itself, and slowly vanish. He ignored the pulses in his head, and proceeded into his Manager's office. He stepped in. "Sir? You asked for me?"
"Jason!" He said happily, holding up his knuckles. Jason tapped them prominently with his own. and sat down. When his employer wasn't angry, he was a pretty upbeat man. "So how's Jesse? Your brother?"
"Ah, he's doing great. Getting married next month."
"Really? Awesome!"
"Yeah, so what did you need me for?"
"I need you to contact somebody tomorrow. Persuade him into working here. He goes to your school."
"What if he doesn't want to work here?"
"It's fine. But after Max, we just need another."
"So, why just a random kid?"
"He's come around and took over for one of our workers for a few hours. Did a nice job."
"You can do that?"
"'Course. Just get parental consent and you got the kid for a few hours."
Jason laughed. "Alright, I'll talk to him tomorrow."
His manager smiled at him. "Great. You can go home early."
"Seriously?"
"Yeah, seriously. We're closing on account of the storm coming soon."
"Okay. See you tomorrow."
Jason smiled as he left the restaurant. What a generous guy his manager was.
After about a half hour of walking, jogging, avoiding the pre-storm rain, he reached his apartment building, and was about to open the door to the lobby, when he heard a sort of demonic sigh come from behind. He turned around, thinking it was Jesse. Nothing. He heaved a sigh, and tried opening the door. His hand gripped the knob, and he turned it slowly.
There was a rough click. "Shit! It's locked." He swore under his breath, and fumbled for his keys, and it was then he realized that they weren't there. Had he dropped them?
He turned back around and scanned the ground for a shiny metal keyring.
He walked closer, and a heavy force hit him from the side, and he fell against the soft, damp grass.
He closed his eyes, bracing for impact as he hit. Before he opened them, a wet mass touched his lips and penetrated deeper in his mouth.
He sputtered, and opened his eyes. It was Ashley. Of course.
She waved her hand over his eyes, and he saw keys hanging from her finger.
He tried to reach for them, but to no avail. She was straddling his stomach, and his arms were unfortunately pressed against his sides.
"Want them back? You'll have to kiss me!"
"Ashley! You know I'm not into this dating stuff! We're fourteen, for god's sake."
"Good time as any to start."
"Fine." He grumbled, and she stood up, giving Jason freedom to move.
She threw her arms around him and closed her eyes.
Jason reluctantly did the same, and they were locked into a kiss that lasted for about thirty seconds.
Lightning broke the clouds, and Ashley gave Jason his keys.
"It was long enough anyway. I give you points."
Jason unlocked the door, and Ashley followed him inside.
"See you later." She said with a smile. Her teeth almost blinded Jason.
"Yeah, I'll see you later."
"I'll hold you to that." She said, running up the steps.
He lifted his heavy, wet shoes up the stairs opposite to the staircase Ashley took, and unlocked the door to his brother's room. He took off his shoes and collapsed on the couch.
He closed his eyes, and drifted off into sleep.
**In case you're wondering, Ashley will be my secondary character who's looking for Jason on Earth when he vanishes.
