The Secret World of the Borrowers

Based off of “The Secret World of Arrietty”, this RP tells the tale of little people known throughout the land as ‘borrowers’. They are said to live underneath the floors of your house and they take what humans wouldn’t miss in order to survive. The borrowers have many problems and enemies to look out for in the world. For them, humans are a dangerous thing. Many have said to disappear after a human has spotted them, for they are very small and have to fight to stay alive. Some borrower families live in fear of not knowing any other borrowers, so they think they are the last ones alive. Now you must fight against enemies, and not let yourself get spotted by humans.

Rules:

No controlling without permission

Bad Words are not to be used unless they have to

You can have up to 5 characters

The Borrowers are small like in the movie

This takes place in the 2012 world of Japan

You are allowed to have a human character as well

Humans can see your character if you want, but it will make a harder life ahead for your character

Kenji was busy riding down through the grass in the park on a Tek Deck board he found on the side of the road. ater a few minutes of boarding he stopped near a tree when he saw someone near it. "Hey, who are you?" asked Kenji.

Kenchin was having one of his normal mornings, fighting a rat. after driving his sewing needle into the rat's eye, it ran off. "Man, does anyone else have to deal with this kind of a morning, sheesh." said Kenchin. Kenchin soon found a way out of the sewer and found himself near a house. 'Hmm, looks cosey enough, question is, is it inhabited?' thought Kenchin. Kenchin checed it out and soon found a small crack going under the house. "Hello, is anybody in?" called Kenchin.

Miki heard a voice and turned around. Another person her size. He could be a borrower, she thought thought as she smiled at him. "Hiya. Im Miki." She said to the guy. "Who are you?" Wow, she thought, i thought i was the only borrower in this area but it doesn't hurt to have someone to go exploring with. with this thought, she smiled to herself and straightened the flower on her head

Raiden looked outside his mouth shaped into a smile. "Raiden my boy, come help your uncle with this bag already" "Yes sir" Raiden ran down to the small house and helped with the bags his uncle insisted on bringing while they were borrowing. "Now my boy, the first rule when you borrrow is to not be seen." "Of course." Taku led Raiden to a string in a shaft to lead them upwards. Raiden held onto the string as he scaled up. It led them to a cabinet, full of glass wear and plates. Raiden saw the man named Axel. Taku, Raiden's uncle, covered his mouth and told Raiden to be very quiet. "Every time i go and borrow i have to be weary of this one, he is very quick and can ense the slightest noise.

 

Roxas ran to the doors that led him to his school, he saw Sora and Riku standing infront of their first class together. "Roxas!" "Sora, Riku!" "Good to see you decidede to come today Roxas." "Thanks Sora" "Come on we need to get to class."

'she seems friendly' thought Kenji. "Name's Kenji....it's the only name i know, or go by." said Kenji. "So, you're a borrower huh?, here's me thinking i'm the only one around, guess i would always think that, being abandoned at birth and all......anyway, what kind of borrower are you, an inee, or an outee, or better known, do you live in a house or outside?" asked Kenji.

Kenchin stepped through the crack in the wall and soon started smelling something. "That's wierd, i keep smelling chicken,...." Kenchin then looked up to see a floor of concrete and piping. "Odd, i must be right under where that smell is coming from." said Kenchin. suddenly, Kenchin hit his head on a pipe which echoed. "Ow, i hope whoever's up there didn't hear that, i'll be a dead man."

Miki took a deep breath. "I live in the outdoors, under that tree to be exact." she said and pointed up at the tree. "I was about to go out exploring.... do you want to come along with me?" she asked him. Miki wanted to go exploring with someone else for a change. "So it's decided, right?" she sadi and smiled at him. I ffeel to excited right now, she thought. Miki felt all jummpy to meet another borrower

"Sure, i'll tag along, i could use a break, i've been scavenging for food since i was 5." said Kenji. "Still, it's going to be nice to get out and about for a while.:

"Yay!" Miki cheered and looked into the direction covered with tall grass. "Onward." and with that she walked into the tall grass. This place is like a forest, she thought as she pushed the grass out of her path. Miki looked back to make sure that Kenji was following her. He was. I wonder if this will lead us to that nearby house, she thought, i've always wanted to go in there but i never found a way in. this might be my lucky day

Kenji was following Miki, but he was on his Tek Deck board. "Hope ya don't mind me practicing a few tricks on this thing." said Kenji as he started sliding on a blade of grass.

Raiden and Taku slunk around the glass wear and got to the suger container. "Alright, here is something we could have. Hold this boy, i have found somethig to eat." Taku threw a rpe up over the container and climbed in. "Be careful Taku" "Boy, go on ahead and look for more stuff, remeber DONT BE SEEN!" "Yes sir." Raiden found a slight crack in the wood and threw a rope down and climbed down. He landed on the counter and hid behind a plate.

I scarfed down my breakfast, and tugged my sisters behind as they finished. "Bye, mom! Be back soon!" I heard her exsperated sighs. We ran down to the nearby river, and while Miyoren spent her time searching for things washed up on the shore, Karin and I climbed the tree. We could sit up in those branches and talk about everything. I looked out to the field, and saw a female Borrower being followed by another boy. I tapped Karin shoulders. "Hey, look! Another Borrower!" She saw them , and we called down to Miyoren. She climbed up, hauling a small bag. As we sat, she spilled out the contents. Pebbles, a wet piece of paper, and a nice piece of string.

"Hmph." Miki mummbled and stopp walking. she watched Kenji preform trick in the blades of the grass. I wonder where he find that kind of stuff laying around, she thought and heard something. "Is someone else here?" she asked Kenji. I heard voices, she thought, but is it a borrower?? Miki watched Kenji do a fllip inthe air and she clapped

Kenji stopped boarding because he noticed something in the tree nearby. "Hey Miki, i think there's someone in the tree, i'll race ya there." said Kenji. once Kenji gt to the tree, he didn't count on one thing. "Uh oh....ROCK!" shouted Kenji. Kenji hit the rock, flipped over it and landed on his back, which sent his board into the air. Kenji finally sat up. "Hey, where's my..." said Kenji until his board hit his head. "Ow, that happened last week to." said Kenji. "IS THERE ANYONE UP THERE?" called Kenji.

I saw them coming over, the boy riding on a small, what was it?, skateboard. She peered through the leaves, watching them near the tree. The boy get there first, and saw him hit the. i gasped and hopped down. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah, i'm good, not really my best landing but.....better than the time i landed on a sleeping cat....now THAT was a painful landing.....name's Kenji." said Kenji.

Raiden was about to keep moving when he heard the man's voice get closer. "Now where did i...ah, right over there" Raiden could hear him getting closer, Raiden quickly moved before the man could lift the plate and spot him, but that ended in Raiden falling towards the ground landing in a shoe. "Great, not the best landing, but better than nothing i guess." Raiden kept moving, and before he knew it the sun was setting. He found his way nto one of the rooms.

 

Roxas heard the last bell and ran out the class room. "Roxas, are we still going to your house tomorrow?" "Yeah, at 6 then we can watch that new horror movie!" Roxas got on his bike and headed home. He opened the door at the porch, "Axel! im home!" Roxas threw his bag on the couch and went for the kitchen. While Roxas was picking up an apple his hair was sudenly being ruined. "And how was my favorite blonde at school?" "Axel, it takes an hour to get my hair like that, now you ruined it, again." "Aw, come on Rox, after all its after school, a.k.a the weekend, you dont need to worry about your hair now." Roxas smirked and went to his room. "Axel, did you leave y sculpture alone while i was away." "Your pretty little princess house is not ruined" "Its not a princess house Axel, its a kingdom" "Whatever" Roxas grunted and went upstairs.

Miki walked over to Kenji. Ouch, she thought and her gazed went over to the girl that just came over here. Who is she, she thought and smiled at her. It was a habit since the girl didn't look like she was anything of a threat. "Hi, i'm Miki. And you are?" she said to the girl. Miki still felt some of the rays from the sun hit her cheeks, making them feel warm.

I giggled. "I'm Mayumi." I pointed up to the tree. "Up there are my two sisters, the one with blonde hair is Miyoren, and the one with black is Karin." I pointed over to the our house. "We live under there. Where did you guys come from?"

"I come from where ever, i'm an orphan, never knew my parents, i've been fending for myself for 19 years, i've never even seen the inside of a house, just an ally, or where ever i crash for the night." said Kenji

Raiden heard the footsteps get louder and louder. "I have to hide" Raiden ran under the bed and tried his best to not be heard. Roxas slumped himself onto his bed. He remembers since he was a kid he had always believed in fairy tales. He took his ear buds and started to listen to some random music Sora put in his Ipod for him. Tomorrow he would watc the scariest movie with Sora and Riku, they have been talking about it for months. Everyone says it is the scariest this year. Raiden saw a small hole and climbed his way through, but he saw this statue that looked weird to him. He stared at it for awhile. "Maybe Taku will know."

Riku almost instantly as he got home headed for his room as he shut the door not wanting to be bothered by anyone as he set his stuff down before sitting on his bed. He caught the slightest movement at the corner of his as he looked toward the area before sighing. "Maybe i'm just imaging stuff or maybe there really are Borrower's here." He said softly as he looked at the spot seeing if he could spot them once more.

Rixku took deep breathes just a little out of Riku range of vision as she tried to calm down. "He almost saw me again. I can't get caught i'll have so much to worry about it if he catches me. If he sees me better he'll be more likely to try and catch me with the proof that i'm actually here." She continued to take deep breathes waiting for her chance to escape and go back to her own little home not far off.
