Many reviews for Skyward Sword complained that there was a lack of voice acting in the series. I disagree, I think that voice acting would make it weird, and ruin some of it's charm, what do you guys think?

Well I thought the Zelda games were supposed to make you feel like you were Link. Adding voice acting would kinda kill that feeling or something.

No....just no.

tutti frutti. I pretty much thought that it would ruin it for the Zelda games. But I guess it would depend on how the developers would go about doing it. For a while I thought the same thing with the Metroid series. For Prime 3, I thought it was pretty good for the voice acting, but in Other M I didn't really care for Samus being given VA. Though with the series as it stands now, I'm happy without voice acting mostly since it didn't feel right after playing through Other M.

Zelda has never had voice acting, except for various grunts, gasps, laughs, etc., and that's how it should always be.

As long as Link doesn't have a voice...everyone else it doesn't matter to me

That would ruin the games. There has never really been any real voice acting aside from a few yells, laughs, grunts, etc.

Voice acting is just really unnecessary and would kind of ruin the charm of the series.

To me, it's easier to understand the mood of the game using just sounds and music rather than actual voice acting. I think it should stay this way, but it really doesn't matter; Nintendo would just be killing their own profits.

Zelda's one of those games that's better off without voiced dialog.

I really dont mind, its not like its gonna change the gameplay, its could be a nice touch to the serie(or not),maybe they should try for the Zelda on Wii U,I don't see how it could be bad for Zelda and good for other series, but there's no NEED for that so I don't care if they decide to stick with text box
